Malayala Manorama’s owner belongs to the Orthodox Syrian Christian sect, so they would obviously show support to their church. Also MM is famous for their anti-Communist stands and reporting. MM is one of the leading magazine and newspaper publishers in India.

Deshabhimani is owned by Communist party in Kerala and its them ruling in Kerala now, so they have to protect the party interests.
