Here is an article in CJR about Yoga as practised (and perceived) in USA; link via A&L Daily. However, beware of mistakes–Vivekananda does not translate to Blissmaster as the article paranthetically remarks, but translates (literally) to the one who finds bliss in knowledge. In fact, the Ananda in the name is just a reference to the Sanyasin sect; he is Viveka–the one who can discern good and bad. However, (mistakes included), it tells something about the American perception of Yoga and Yogis.
