Grant Thornton in its latest report profiles the performance of 33 new markets with a combined capitalisation of US$4,222 bn. It also lists the 35 largest main markets and analyses their performance throughout 2005. It also provides some insight into key countries such as China and India and regions such as Latin America and the Middle East.

I have compiled this graph of top 15 stock exchanges with highest capitalisation. India is at no. 14. Other notable ones missing the list are Taiwan’s TSE,Brazil’s Bovespa A Bolsa do Brasil, China’s Shanghai Stock Exchange and Mexico’s Bolsa Mexicana de Valores at no. 16, 17, 18 and19 respectively.
