Its a well-known fact that we are a country full of Gods and Godmen. Their influence over people is legendary and they have them in awe. But here devotion seems to have gone overboard.

In the pic: Spiritual Leader ”Mataji Nirmala Devi” & her husband [supposedly an IAS officer & chief of the SCI]
A national flag is a representative of the hopes and aspirations of a country. The Indian National flag being no different, is symbolic of our national pride. I suppose they did not know that there is a Flag code which needs to be adhered too.

Miracle mongers and faith healers are inflicting a dangerous disease upon the weakest section of Indian society and have to be stopped by all means.
It has to be one of the primary tasks of human development in India, to help the victims of superstition and blind belief to break the shackles of their archaic mindset and join the twenty first century.
Besides being the Indian President, Dr. Abdul Kalam is seen as one among the best rocket technician who has raised great hopes for a better future, guided and protected by science. His concept “Vision 2020” promises to lead India smoothly into the orbit of the developed world.
If a man of such highest constitutional stature and position uses his influence to come to the rescue a scandal-tainted godman like Sai Baba, he commits a serious and unpardonable betrayal. Dr. Kalam has been the chief guest during the glamorous birthday show on 23rd November 2006. If we don’t have any objection to such acts of President of India, we don’t hold any moral authority to question such acts of ordinary human beings, God Men or Mafia dons.

whilst i have no respect for nirmala devi [sic] or her ilk, i do, however, belive that there should be no law prohibiting the desecration of a nations flag.
this gives too much power to the government, who can use [i am assuming, have used] it for nefarious ends.
not to mention, the effect such laws have on our right to the freedom of speech.

Our Deepest Respect to our National Flag
We Sahaja Yogis have the highest and deepest respect for our National Flag, which is the symbol of our National Freedom. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi participated actively in the Quit India Movement. Her father Shri P K Salve was imprisoned by the British because he participated actively in Mahatma Gandhiji’s Freedom movement. It is inconceivable that any member of Shri Mataji’s family would tolerate even the slightest disrespect to our National Flag.
Possibly, at an Independence Day function held abroad, some foreigner Sahaja Yogi brought our Flag and without meaning any disrespect, kept it on the ground. The Flag was respectfully removed immediately on being noticed.
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi asks us all to respect National Flags of all countries.
This unintended but serious mistake is greatly regretted. Not even the slightest disrespect to our National Flag will ever be tolerated.
To all those whose feelings have been hurt by this wholly unintended and unfortunate error, we express the assurance that we fully share their anguish and we extend our deeply felt and sincerest regrets and unqualified apologies.

Dear Nita, chako, Raj, apollo et al
Do you think it is sensible for anyone (you look quite sensible, educated people in your profile photos, where available) to just blurt out whatever comes into their head onto the computer screen? I would not want even my little children to talk like that to anyone, but somehow most of the people here have no respect for their own inner self. If we respect ourselves, its easier not to disrespect others…if only we all introspected a bit more, before using our intellect to come up with something supposedly witty but not so soothing to subtle system! You might react and write something awful about me (when you don’t even know me)but better would be to learn to face oneself once in a while than to criticise everyone around.
Wisdom is not in pointing fingers at others all the time, but also at one’s own self leading to self correction and peace within.
love to all.

Actually there is no one by the name of rajendra kumar. But yes there is one Mr. Rajendra Pugalia. What hurts more is that a proxy has been used to post a cookedup reply. Someone has series of images for the four years consecutively from 2002 till 2006 when on every ocassion of 15th august and 26th january the Fat women places her filthy feet on the national Flag of our beloved country. In many images we find her husband Mr. CP Srivastava seated next to her in a very non reactive manner.(he is actually a great man but brought down to such a low height by the idiosyncrasies of his stupid wife Nirmala)
February 24, 2007 at 5:04 pm
Ok Mr Rajendra kumar. perhaps the photo was taken in the time when it was on the ground before someone realised what happened and took it away.
If it was some westerner who is responsible. it makes sense. Many westerners do not see anything wrong with doing things with a flag that we Indians will find as disrespectful- Making clothes in flag colours, making huge cakes in the national flag colors, even footwear etc… so perhaps this might indeed be a case of a botchup rather than deliberate disrespect.
Unfortunately the facial expressions of those in the photo gives the impression that they couldn’t care less. hopefully you guys will act fast and nip this in the bud before it spoils ur own good name.

It is interesting to watch some survey results on Indian psyche about God, Superstitions and atheism.
May be only 20 % of Indians believes that God had a human form.
http://www.humanrightskerala.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4891&Itemid=5
Another survey reveals that superstition exists largely in our country.
46 per cent Indians believe ghosts exists, 24 percent consult a palmist
1) 93 per cent believe in god; education makes no difference
2) 64 per cent visit a temple, mosque or gurudwara regularly
3) 53 per cent pray daily; the educated pray more regularly
4) 46 per cent believe ghosts exist
5) 24 per cent consult a palmist
6) 68 per cent participate or take interest in religious functions of other religions.
So Babas, Matajis, can sell their snake oils to rich and poor.

January 12, 2010 at 12:40 pm
Those who sell Are Frauds !!!
In Sahaja Yoga, Self-Realization comes free and by not wasting any time. It only needs “pure desire” to attain the same.
Lord Krishna Says, only one out of thousand (that is 0.1 %) people will be seeking the self-realization. Hence, it is not necessary that Indian nation has all the truth seekers. So, majority of us can invest our lifes in abusing the incarnations instead of daring to “know” or “experiencing” the truth that Shri Mataji is.
Time pass kind of people need not have any brains to pass on any brainless comments !!
May God bless Us all.

Hi everyone,
you guys sure are touchy about your flag. India has become so modern now, maybe you have forgotten your history because you used to only have the British flag. It was Gandhi and his generation including Shri Mataji and her family who sacrificed a lot for your independence. So maybe instead of promoting this beat-up, you should thank her that you actually have a flag.
Shri Majaji is worshipped in puja by her devotees during which her feet are washed. Traditionally it is held that you should touch the feet of your guru. So by putting the flag at her feet people are asking her to bless India.
February 25, 2007 at 2:50 pm
@ David: fantastic argument but if we go by that, any act of disrespect to anything can be turned around and to be shown as something else.
So if print a religious leaders’ photograph on my toilet paper and say he/she is a symbol for cleanliness, would you take the argument and be happy about it?
and btw yes we are “touchy” about our flag, what is so wrong with that?

David,
If you take a traditional point of view – It is considered an ultimate sign of disrespect in India if you point your feet at someone or something. It wouldn’t hold true unless the flag went and sat there voluntarily.
But ofcourse all Nirmala Devis devotees believes she is God which means whatever is acceptable to her is acceptable to them as well.
February 25, 2007 at 10:14 pm
Mr David
(1) Yes We ARE touchy !!
(2) Not only Gandhiji but there were millions of Indians who faught for freedom at that time in India. Every family around that time had members participating in freedom movement – So PLEASE do not decide that this lady has given the flag to us or do not remind us of our own history. Please do not equal her to Gandhiji.
(3) If she is god and people are doing her puja, then there was no need to fight for freedom – She should’ve just blessed India with freedom – Why did she let so many people die??
(4) If She is God, then why do people need to ask her to bless India ?? She can just bless without asking !!
(5) FINALLY let me remind you very humbly, that OUR National Flag is not even offered to God’s in India ! After all she is only a human being!
Its the blind people who have made men and women like her Gods and Goddesses!
Ting-Dong!! Wake Up!! She is NOT God and more importantly India doesn’t Require her blessing!

While it is quite and easy to respond to an image posted on a Website with righteous outrage, perhaps some efforts towards establishing intent should be establish before we proceed with some of the more outrageous suggestions so far posted. The main focus of any fair and balanced assessment is that was this an inadvertent action by someone who did not understand the protocols around the Indian Flag, if disrespect was indeed intended, and if it was in any way directed, or requested, by Shri Mataji or Sir CP Srivastava.
Before this is properly established perhaps the personal nature of much of the comments made so far, and so directed, some even violent in nature, are at least unfair, inappropriate and reflect more upon the personal perspectives and agendas of the those making these comments, than directly applicable to such a great Son and Daughter of Motehr India, who have selfless dedicated themselves to the service of their great Nation, and to mankind in general.
Despite the value judgments other may have of these efforts, while we all sit comfortably at our homes in front of our computers, attending to well paid jobs, living a good and happy life in relatively good circumstances. Perhaps those who have been to quick to judge should take the time to examine some of the achievements of these fine and noble Indian patriots before so quickly condemning.
For those who are prepared to do some basic research below is some background of the achievements and the calibre of people you are so ready to denigrate. Then ask yourself have done so much for Mother India to so easily condemn ?
Chris Kyriacou
Fighting for India’s Freedom
As a child, Shri Mataji lived with her parents in the ashram of Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi saw the wisdom of this child and used to appreciate her immensely, affectionately calling her “Nepali” due to the Nepali features of her face.
Shri Mataji’s involvement in the freedom struggle is extremely remarkable. She was very courageous and played a daring role as a youth leader of this campaign. In the 1942 “Quit India Movement” announced by Gandhi, she was arrested and put in jail along with other freedom fighters for actively participating in this movement.
International achievements and recognition
An official guest in the former Soviet Union, she enabled over 100,000 people to experience their Self-Realization. She regularly speaks to audiences of 10,000 to 20,000 in the former Eastern bloc nations and has filled year after year the Royal Albert Hall in London for her conference on Sahaja Yoga.
Shri Mataji has delivered thousands of lectures, given many television and radio interviews, and been the subject of hundreds of newspaper articles around the world. An articulate speaker, Shri Mataji is the founder and sole director of Sahaja Yoga or “Vishwa Nirmala Dharma”, which is an established non-profit organization in many countries worldwide.
Shri Mataji has been recognized worldwide by several prestigious institutions for her selfless work and for the powerful results of her spiritual teachings.
In 1994, the Mayor of Brazil’s capital welcomed Shri Mataji at the airport, presenting her with the key to the city, and sponsored all of her programs.
In 1995, the Indian Government granted Shri Mataji a one hour primetime television series, broadcast nationally.
During the same year, Shri Mataji was an official guest of the Chinese government and was invitied to speak at the International Women’s Conference in Beijing. Also in 1995, she was awarded by the Romanian Ecological University an Honorary Doctorate in Cognitive and Parapsychological Sciences.
She has been recognized and greeted by the mayors of several cities in North America (Yonkers, NY, 1994 & 1996, Los Angeles, 1993 and 1994, British Columbia, 1994, Cincinnati 1992, Philadelphia 1993, Berkeley, 1997).

Chris,
Thanks for reposting content from their website. Past achievements doesn’t grant one the permission to act on freewill. No person, whatever his or her contribution, is bigger than the country as a whole.

I went on sites but could not find reference to this pictures
Looks like some naughty people who have plenty of time in the hand creating nonsense
The people who are responded negatively
I have simple question
In your life time have you been able to do anything for India. May be spent some time doing creative something for yourselves.

I understand how you feel when people insult your flag, afterall it represents your national freedom struggle. But instead of seeing this photo as an insult, please consider the context in which it was taken.
Someone placed your flag at Shri Mataji’s feet. It was a beautiful symbolic act from a devotee whose heartfelt wish was for God to bless the country. Considering the purity of the bhakta’s intentions, Indians in general could show some maturity by overlooking any perceived incursions on the flag protocol.
The rudeness of many comments reflects badly on the individuals posting them. India is known as a great and successful secular country.

Exactly. We intend to keep it that way.

So Mr Lokesh … what do you have to say about the testimony of your Sahaj Yog trustee Mr. Rajendra Kumar ?? Was he lying??
People have really gone blind in false faith – God bless you all!!
March 2, 2007 at 2:26 am
Mr David Wrote :
” It was a beautiful symbolic act from a devotee whose heartfelt wish was for God to bless the country ”
This devotee has gone blind in faith that he no longer has the “maturity” to distinguish between “Guru” and “Govind”. I want to ask the devotee, has he ever shown such dedication and devotion for God? Leave alone God, has he ever done such an act for his parents? After all they brought him on earth and nutured him to be where he is !
” Considering the purity of the bhakta’s intentions, Indians in general could show some maturity by overlooking any perceived incursions on the flag protocol”
We voice our concerns so that such blind devotees think 200 times before the leap next time !! One’s parents have to slap and express discontent if for example they steal, otherwise they will never learn that it was a wrong act! Very simple philosophy!!
” The rudeness of many comments reflects badly on the individuals posting them ”
You don’t even know 0.001% about people posting their views here and you have pointed a finger on what it reflects on their individuality!! HOW VERY HYPOCRITIC !
Let me remind you that these are the very people who are questioning the lady’s individuality being reflected from allowing a flag to be placed on her feet! What kind of individual allows for such act?
Try to think outside the box instead of shilling this lady.
March 2, 2007 at 2:47 am
Mr Chris Kyriacou,
Please don’t post all these stories here. All of this song is already there in Sahaj Yog’s website.
There is nothing new in what they are doing. Every God man and God woman in India does that and all of them also have big scandal attached with them. After all its not their money – all the so called devotees are donating and they get a luxurious life! And what should their responses be to income taxers? Well we have donated for all these causes! A simple math invovled !
Speak of people like Mother Teresa when it comes to humanitarian work! She is the perfect example of a person who devoted her life for others. NO riches, NO foreign travels, NO devotees, NO pomp and show – all she did was to dedicatedly work towards her goal. Lets recognise and appreciate such people.
March 2, 2007 at 6:13 am
I agree with Lokesh, in that there is no issue here. The person who originally posted this obviously trawled through the photos from Sahaja Yoga websites looking for something to start this hate-festival. The post was designed to inflame ultra sensitive fanatics and guess what – you all fell for it.
Yes Chacko, India is supposed to be a secular country. Let’s look at what your flag represents:
• Purity
• Freedom
• Respect for God
How can people argue respect for the flag when they disrespect religion? Ever heard of God before country? Practice your godliness before you start using the flag to attack religion. That’s hypocrisy Mr Anon!
Alzivier, there is something new in Sahaja Yoga – self realisation. No other religious movement or meditation can give you that. For the record, Shri Mataji has never accepted money for herself. It is a basic tenet of Sahaja Yoga that it is free for everyone. So you are incorrect.
In the flag protocol it states that the flag should not be used to carry anything except flower petals. So stop using it to carry lies and fanaticism. The people making rude posts are the real ones trampling on your flag and everything it stands for.

Hi all,
The information I posted from the Website is an indication of “international” recognition, and an indication to those with open minds, of a life of achievement and service. If you seek to diminish this due to perceptions of what you imagine is going on, you may do so, but where are your facts.
The fact that these achievements are posted on a Sahaja Yoga website does not in itself invalidate, nor diminish, their effectiveness as a means of establishing that a life of service has been acknowledged by many credible organizations throughout the world.
I would suggest that a person could make it the Nobel Peace Prize short list unless there was a credible record of service to mankind. This particular discussion forum seems to be more about cheap shots and people looking for all sorts of hooks to hang their own ideas and agendas. If you want to start a discussion about prophets, your beliefs about who should and should not be respected, the aspects of personal devotion, and the nature of new religious movement please proceed to open up a relevant and related topic.
The issue here is clear, did the two people in the photograph intend, direct, or have any knowledge, or involvement with the main contention in this discussion steam, the treatment of the Indian Flag. It is clear that this has not yet been established, yet that many who are prepared to weigh in, judge, condemn and in some cases execute without first establishing this most fundamental principle does no one in this forum who just jumped onto the bandwagon to enjoy the ride, any credit whatsoever.
First establish the facts, before the lynch mob fire up their torches, rally around and start baying for retribution. The rest of the comments are frankly immaterial and irrelevant to this topic.

” How can people argue respect for the flag when they disrespect religion? ”
What religion are you talking about? Do you mean Sahaj Yog?? Wake up – thats not a religion.
And remember, an ATHIEST can also be a PATRIOT !! So your claim above is totally VOID !
Please read all your postings that clearly show your rudeness. And yes, Our Country is Our God ! We worship her.
Stop claiming that no other religious movement or meditation can give self-realisation! I,m sorry to say that atleast Your postings don’t show any kind of self-realisation – look at the way you are trying to talk about people of other country ! Is that your realization?? Is that your religion
I might say that you really don’t need a religion or any kind of meditation for realisation. U need to believe in yourself and not wrong anyone thats all.
Why won’t you agree with lokesh all of a sudden? After all he is in the same choir as you!! Till now you were trying to justify the act of this lady and teaching people what the act of a devotee meant etc etc and all of a sudden you agree with Lokesh and then you preach about hypocrisy ! Great going.
As far as Sahaj Yog being free goes, Alzivier has not mentioned of any FEE whatsoever – he has mentioned ONLY AND ONLY DONATION ! Now don’t try to sell the story that nobody donates in Sahaj Yog.

Do you notice anything?
The toe of her left leg is not resting on ground.
Read a little about body language and u will get many answers about her knowledge on the flag and the authenticity of this photo.

March 3, 2007 at 9:03 pm
Cuckoo, I had a quick look at your site and it seems you like to advise people to practise forgiveness. Perhaps you could ‘enlarge the future’ by overlooking any perceived transgression on the flag protocol. It’s good for your heart you know.
Triyinia, you must be a master of body language. Because of a raised toe you have proven beyond any shade of doubt that these photos are not fake. Thankyou for that. However I can tell you that using Photoshop, any object could be pasted in the flag’s place and you would still believe it. Such is your blind faith in photos out of context. No offense, but I’ll be sticking with the written language for now.
The issue of whether the photo is real or not is actually quite irrelevant. I can’t prove whether it happened or not. Lokesh has looked for the original photo on the Internet and can’t find it anywhere. Still, in my previous posts I have assumed that it did happen and I will continue to do so.
To recap, placing a flag at the feet of one’s guru is an act of devotion. God comes before country in the mind of the devotee. And religious tolerance should come before anyone starts lashing out about flag protocol. Using the flag to attack religion is a breach of India’s secular laws and therefore a criminal act.
Thathas, I missed the bit where you explained how you were authorised to distinguish between a religion and not a religion. I’m not trying to be rude, it’s just that you must be an ultra sensitive atheist. You still claim patriotism so that would mean you put the flag and your country above any God. Does a flag worshipping atheist still believe in a society that respects people of all faiths?
Self realisation is more than just believing in yourself and being nice to people. It begins with a state of awareness beyond thoughts. Through kundalini awakening all your chakras can be awakened and this is something you can actually feel. Saints and incarnations have shown people divinity before but Shri Mataji is the only one who has given us a complete system allowing people to establish their self realisation and give it to others.
Sahaja Yoga is indeed free and Shri Mataji has never accepted money for herself. The running of this grass-roots organisation does of course require funds which are voluntarily donated by people who believe in it. That means that the people who make it available for you, do so with their own money. Now that’s commitment. If you are honest with yourself, you should find out personally why thousands of people all over the world practise Sahaja Yoga meditation.
March 5, 2007 at 10:17 am
this is a shame to the society.if a person does not regard the flag, then he/she is not even fit to live in this country having crores of martyrs in the name of the country.he/she should be thrown out of the country widrawing every right.he/she must be penalised heavily too for indulging in such agreat insult.

No one has the right to disrespect our national flag.
It was least expected from a person of Shri Mataji
Nirmala Devi’s status. Her achivements are great, but
that does not justifies her action. It’s more disheartening
when a freedom fighter like Mataji who had been there
in independence struggle against British is seen like this.

Dear Friends
Read most of the comments well India sure is a free country and we all have right to speech.Just one question to all those people who are exchanging their knowledge and views out here.HOW MANY OF US HAVE DONE SOMETHING IN THIS LIFE TO BRING RESPECT TO THIS COUNTRY.I know a few people out here who will start abusing their country on a small loss of a cricket match or some political conversation and yet speak highly when a mistake is done by someone else.Stop it and get back to work.Lets be worthy of speaking before making comments about other and who so ever made this mistake I am dead sure no body can INTENTIONALY show disrespect to Nation. There are some people in this conversation who have reached to the level of using abusive language and making obscene comments of her appearance.YOU SHAME IT. She must be your Grand Mothers age.You call yourself INDIAN.What have you done for this country??? I ask all the people who are making stupid comments here.Come to Sahaja Yoga, wash in the bliss, experience the goodness in you and then speak. Remember Jade from Big Brother was asked to come to India to wash her soul, I ask you all who are making all comments to experience Sahaja Yoga and clear their minds and experience the truth.May God forgive us all.
March 6, 2007 at 2:28 pm
Dear Piyush,
When your founder herself deosn’t have respect in Indian flag, how come you expect people who comes in Sahaja yoga gain respect towards India by washing in bliss?
March 6, 2007 at 2:41 pm
Above all can’t we be one rather than Indians, English, Russians why do we need a Nation for our identification? We take pride in calling ourselves Indians, lets be proud to call us Humans, why fight over something that is made by human, How many of us feel bad when we see the tricolor hoisted on a building and its in a state that no color is visible but do we go and fight with those people out there to correct it.No we will say what a shame and move ahead with our lives, now isn’t that bad.On 15th August you can see people selling tricolors for 10 rupees and then the same people who buy it on 15th August will throw it in dustbin next day or ask peon to dispose off the plastic the next day.I ask you to wake up and stop all this its for politicians not us my friends. Rise above Relegion, above Nation and lets be human and not speak bad.And lets introspect first remember when we point one fingre at others 4 are towards us.
March 6, 2007 at 2:57 pm
100% variation between post 57 & 59. You are not stable at your argument. 57 talks about India and patriatism. 59 talks about why we need a nation. Let all be human beings.
There is one joke, one student wrote state capial name as national capital in the exam. After knowing his mistake he prays god to change national capital as his state capital, to hide his mistake.
It is like that. To hide this mistake don’t pray that “let we all be human beings”. Why we need contries etc etc.
March 6, 2007 at 2:58 pm
Satya I am a free bird and master of myself,I am my own Guru.Yes I needed a guru to reach this level but now I am my own master.Respect is for individual not for Mass.I am not advocating anyone or anything but my point is can’t we rise above all this? Think whats in name just becoz we were born here we love this country.what if we were born in England we would have loved England , right na. then why all the fuss and fight. We talk of protocol, what protocol Man made protocol, lets follow protocol of God rather than man made. You know why we say God and not fight on him we know we can not change him , he is and will be forever in his own form no human can change him, if tomorrow some humanbeing says that OK from tomorrow Lord Ganesha will not have Elephant head rather a camel head can you worship or accept that idol as you have respect for Lord Ganesha, No, so things that change with time are not worthy of this attention.Ya for the gross these things do appear important. But then its time to rise above gross and be more subtle.Somebody said Mother Terresa lets be her,I bet she would have been least interested who is doing what she would have always cared what I am doing.Lets take a leaf from there.
March 6, 2007 at 3:01 pm
My dear friend try to find the essence what I have been trying to say is why we are driven by passion can’t we drive our passions.
March 6, 2007 at 3:37 pm
Dear Piyush,
You cannot travel to other countries unless and until you get VISA.
If you don’t protect your country, surely enemies will come and make all of us as slaves and they rob the country like british done centuries ago.
Why Gandhiji struggled for India’s freedom? Why freedom fighters not cared of their lifes to get freedom to this country? Instead they would have been proposed human beings phenomena to british.
Freedom fighters lost their lives to put India’s flag in the place of british flag, they given that much value to India and Indian flag. That must be remembered by future generations of India too.
March 6, 2007 at 4:58 pm
Ya , I will give the same techings to Britishers too, some where I heard God made land and man made boundaries. Its just not for me or you to understand the vision I am talking about its as well for Britishers, Americans, Arabians for ALL.I will love India not because I was born here but because of the subtle knowledge we posses from our roots. Its not the flag but the freedom that they wanted may be this flag never existed before we became free in its present sense. India was not always India it was Bharat, we should understand that its not the name that makes for the identity its the aptitute. we may worship Lord Ganesha as an idol but that won’t help, thats not truth, the truth is what he stands for Purity,Innocense and wisdom.Even today we have Christians in India, muslims in India why are we not driving them away today, at that time what happened was wrong, it was about them illtreating us.It was about justice and equal rights. Why today we can accept Sonia Gandhi as our leader but not then.It was because they were treating us like slaves that was the reason why they had to be thrown out. That is what they fought for freedom.Dear what hurt me on this forum was the language that some of our friends used for an elderly couple who have in past done this country proud and Sir CP has represented this country at the highest level and then I am sure none of my friends out here have contributed even 1% of what they have done for this country and just bcoz they see an image they started using abusive language about them.Say if this thing happened with our parents had they put their foot on the tricolor would we say hang them?NO, then our parents come first and I find no wrong in that.As respect for individual and humanity come much much above Nation.Around the world we are not known for the love for our country but more for the values that we held.Strange Jesus was in Rome but his qualities of forgiveness are in us the most, we forgive our enemies.I am no one to advocate Mataji or Sir CP but as far as I have known them they have just spread love and nothing but love, just spread divine knowledge, you will never hear people following SY using abusive language on the contrary they will be humble, you will never find criminals practicing SY.It just doesn’t work that way.I admire them, I practiced SY I don’t say I am transformed but yes I did found the truth in me, I did found the good person in me.It helped me quit smoking, it taught me to be humble, it taught me to respect individual, it taught me to rise above gross thing and look at this world in more subtle way beyond boundaries of Nation, its not that I don’t feel happy when our cricket team wins matches but thats a different thing.Whatever happened at the time of independence was the need of that time and not a benchmark now its time to rise furthur above.I won’t say you are totaly wrong as you have not experienced that rise in you where you can think or understand beyond obvious.Remember the truth must be beyond obvious as truth is much difficult to follow than the obvious.Just try it once, give it a go, go as if you are going to some satyanarayn katha at someone’s house, witness things that are happening out there switch off the mind as it is very limited and can only accept something that we have experienced in past , just witness in silence , if you feel the peace within, if you feel yes its soothing go for it or just leave it. May be it all happened for you only.
Take care.
March 6, 2007 at 5:26 pm
I believe Piyush response directly addresses the core of this issue, of which I have also made the point, but most within this forum seem unable, or unwilling to address, and that is unless intentional disrespect can be clearly established the very title of this discussion stream is highly inappropriate.
I direct the convenor’s attention that the use of the word “dishonour” implies something that has not been established. The use of the term associating a term for the ‘Divine’, with the feminine form is uncalled for when Shri Mataji’s name is the more appropriate term of reference. In light of the rules governing the expression of opinions within this forum the convenor should replace the title of this topic with something less opinionated, inflammatory and balanced.
As Piyush has reminded us all of the great culture inherent in noble traditions of India. Respect for elders and women, the presumption of innocence and an aversion for violence in language and intent, which has unfortunately been on display by many in this forum.
The respect due to Shri Mataji’s as a fighter for her countries freedom should have stayed the hand of so many quick to condemn and judge without at least making the most basic attempt to establish fact from fiction.

By Sandeep Datta New Delhi, Mar.5 (ANI): The Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Sahaja Yoga Trust has apologised for showing disrespect to the tricolour during an Independence Day function abroad. Expressing deep regret over the unfortunate incident created by a follower, the trust has conveyed its apology through an e-mail addressed to Asian News International. “Our Deepest Respect to our National Flag: We Sahaja Yogis have the highest and deepest respect for our National Flag, which is the symbol of our National Freedom. It is inconceivable that any member of Shri Mataji’s family would tolerate even the slightest disrespect to our National Flag,” the e-mail said. “Possibly, at an Independence Day function held abroad, some foreigner Sahaja Yogi brought our (National) Flag and without meaning any disrespect, kept it on the ground. The flag was respectfully removed immediately on being noticed.Shri Mataji NirmalaDevi asks us all to respect National Flags of all countries. This unintended but the serious mistake is greatly regretted. Not even the slightest disrespect to our National Flag will ever be tolerated. To all those whose feelings have been hurt by this wholly unintended and unfortunate error, we express the assurance that we fully share their anguish and we extend our deeply felt and sincerest regrets and unqualified apologies,” stated Rajendra Kumar, a Trustee. The incident came to notice through a photograph circulated on a social networking website Orkut.com. Many youngsters circulated it through e-mails alleging, “Influential people can escape punishment despite committing serious offences”. The photograph shows Nirmala Devi seated on a chair and the tricolour at her feet. Nirmala Devi’s Sahaj Yoga (or, the spontaneous union with the Self) technique is today practiced in 57 countries world- wide at various centres. Eighty-four-year-old Nirmala Devi was born to a Christian family in Madhya Pradesh’s Chindawara District. She married Indian Civil Servant C.P.Srivastava, who was knighted by the Queen of England and served the former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri as his Principal Secretary. Nirmala Devi was jailed for participating Mahatma Gandhi-led Quit India Movement in 1942. (ANI)
Now what else is required ?

While reading through the long list of comments one can see how we Indians love flinging mud on and condemn anyone when we get a chance…
It’s not just this lady in question but anyone, religious or not, we love to join in and start kicking and punching once a mistake spotted. To hell with all the good work they might have done all their lives but a mistake is a mistake after all and we, the patriots, have all the rights to call them names and hang them in the city square.
Amma… got missals… stay away from her… she was never good for anything anyway… all the work she might have done is no good no more.
Nirmala devi… so she only spent on 30 years of her life helping others… and only started a few hospitals and 40 other projects… so what? Out she goes…
I found out she was welcomed by mayors and administrators of big cities and the stupid Administrator of Brasilia, Brazil’s capital city, presented her with the key to the city!
Get your facts and look at other aspects before you start accusing and defaming.
I believe it if they say it’s was a mistake and they are apologetic. It would be shocking for any Indian to see the national flag at their feet and would want to pick it up and apologies as has happened in this case.
God bless.

Hehehheheh looks like any big cpersonality/celebrity an get away doing any sort of thing if he/she is an active social worker, have big bucks or support to back up. Should the trend of justice for rich always haunt us? Mistake of this caliber committed by few can encourage many. It would be inappropriate to comment on one’s patriotism, patriotism is not anyone’s ancestral property… it’s like I print the rupee notes so by default all the money is mine. Every Indian by birth has rights to condemn that jeopardize his countries identity. The rights are not reserved by social workers, PM manmohan singh, Dr Abdul Kalam or any self acclaimed gods. Here in question is not anyone’s hat or some bed sheet. It’s our nation’s identity, our national flag.
Rome was not built in a day, but it didn’t take long for it to fall.

Apology would just do fine. But don’t tell us that under the shadow of all good things one serious mistake can be hidden. That’s like impartial justice. And people have all the right to question, good or bad. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to show your patriotism. We all have equal rights to raise our voice.

I remember a story I read in schooldays that the whole city was throwing stones at a lady for some wrong she did then Jesus came in front and said that if there is anyone who feels has not anything wrong in life may stone him instead. There was nobody to be seen.We know that somewhere in disgust or in anger all of us have abused our country knowingly or unknowingly, intentionaly or unintentionaly lets take everybody to court and who will give justice in the court a judge who is himself so fallable I don’t understand y we think we are the ONE, yesterday I saw in news a woman was being made to stand on nails and tied up as a method to cure her.Thats serious and much more serious matter to put attention on.
If you guys believe in ultimate justice then leave it to the unfallable to do the justice whether Mataji is wrong or some SY who put the flag infront of her feet or people abusing in this forum are wrong.Let the one who is Purity himself do the Justice. If you have faith in that Almighty believe me the wrong will be punished and will not be spared. If you have more faith in Court justice what can I say,Its not a matter of Human level that can be sorted by Humans, who knows if she is Godess or not only the GOD knows so let God decide we are toooooooo small people to fight on this.Mataji is neither political nor a criminal she is a spiritual leader and let the spirituality take the case.

From the womb of BHARATH MATHA thousands of (real)great souls had raised and done a great service to this world,WHY SHOULD HER FLAG LIE AT THE FEET OF A LADY WHO IS FAT ENOUGH TO BE SEATED ONLY IN A DESIGNER CHAIR?
The National Flag represents the billion+ people. Not a few mentally retard who never learn anything intellectually.
How would you react if someone very elder bow down at your feet? Would you not feel guilty, ashamed and stop them quickly?
Look at the face of those people, they seem to enjoy it!!!!!!!!
Its like making your mother bow down at your feet……SHAMEFUL DISGUSTING

Barking dogs seldom bite.
Bark as long as you want.
It may be a mistake or an accident but unintentional. Who the hell are you people? U r Indians, right? And what are Indians known for??
CULTURE.
Whether she is a Godwomen or a normal woman, one thing to be noted is SHE IS ELDERLY WOMEN.
According to Indian culture, it is our duty to respect elders. Learn it first.
If elders err, then let GOD take care of them. Who are you??
Who the hell are you to blame others? Are you completely patriotic? If so, why dont you work in Army, Navy, Defence???
Instead you guys and gals browse all dirty and filthy sites, learn all dirty and filthy language and express your indecent behavior reflecting the real U.
Become an INDIAN!! Not western.
Even if you want to blame others, use your own decent way of blaming them. Dont become western.
Become a pure Indian and then comment on the behavior of others.
Learn to respect elders. If elders err, then let GOD take care of them. Who are you??
“shove one hot iron rod up her ass”
Would you have known the meaning of this if western countries had not invaded India and left their culture here??
Are you displaying Indian culture or western culture?
Indians respect GIRLS and WOMEN but nowadays girls behave westernly. Whom should we respect? These girls and women?? Try to be Indian girls and stop using filthy languages no matter who the person to be blamed is.
Try to understand yourself and stop acting westernly. Then only, you really have the rights to call yourself as INDIANS. Because CULTURE is INDIA.
Anyone can use harsh, rough, filthy words but a person will be known as real Indian only when he really know how to handle these sort of situation in a decent fashion and not filthily

Raghav,
What is the meaning of that sentence you pointed out?
Is it creating that much problem for you?
Where as, you pointed out that, having Indian flag under feet is a small mistake.
Why don’t you think that, who ever written that sentence done a small mistake. You would have left this issue to god, instead of writing a big text.
March 23, 2007 at 10:24 am
Satya,
Even I agree that this issue has to be considered seriously but…
Is there any mistake in whatever Raghav has said? Dont U think what he has said is truth. India is known for its culture.
Raghav has not pointed anything about Indian flag. Has he? The only point that he is stressing is Indians respect elders but when it comes to blame elders, we should do it in Indian way rather than western way.
Even he is not saying that the issue raised is wrong. He has just pointed out the use of filthy langauge and being Indians we should face this issue in a smart way raher than filthy way. Do you think this statement is proper : “shove one hot iron rod up her ass”.
If so, what is the difference between Indians and Westerns? Why do you so proudly call yourself as Indian?
March 23, 2007 at 12:00 pm
Those who think clever tries to divert topics.
My intention is to show, how cleverly he wants to divert topic showing Indian flag issue as a small mistake and where as writing those words as a big mistake.

Hi all
@Apollo, Rajendra Kumar,
Rejendra as per you, the flag was respectfully removed immediately after being noticed but question is still how did it come there. Well, please find that source first. After her husband who is IAS officer also didn’t notice that SHAMEFUL!!! SHAMEFUL!!! !!!!!!!!!.
Photos above really tell adifferent story and if you people couldn’t acknowledge the presence of National Flag there then it’s yours fault. Simply using the “REGRET WORD” is not enough here. SHOW US ALL (ALL INDIANS) that Yes, you have mentioned that “REGRET” word in a very serious and positive way. So,think of it what you can do to prove your point.

@Satya, Shakti
You both are right. Satya I agree with you. Shakti, I think you are a bit more than half correct on Raghav’s comments but point here is how and what should we all do to make all those this to understand(who are not ready to fell that this true) the severity of this matter. Let’s share our ideas. I also accept that simply allowing our brain washed in a simple manner is unlawful to our existence. Do you think that it might be a case that these photos are fraud? I am asking this because I also asked a guy in my company ( who says that he has all his faith in Nirmala Devi) about this unlawful and extremely shameful behaviour then he replied that he desn’t believe this is true and “I needn’t to talk to him any more about this matter”.
March 24, 2007 at 5:35 am
@ India is great, Nita, Periyar and all others, Friends please you all also give your ideas about my above written comments calling Satya anad Shakti only. Oooh, it is really my mistake that I forgot to address you all in my last discussion.
March 29, 2007 at 12:06 am
Hi All,
My family(except me) are all Sahajayogis and they are like KATTAR believers of Nirmala Devi. I somehow feel that SY is a brainwashing technique. I see how everything in my life-my family’s life is related to SY and Nirmala devi. This lady sounds like a mad women to me. If you hear her speeches and see her Poojas(what the devotees offer her like 15 times a year). She is being worshipped on like Navratri, diwali, ganesh chaturthi, guru purnima, her b’day and may be another 6-7 festivals in a year. She calls herself God and leads a lavish life which I dont believe any of the saints or god have lead. I’m absolutely against her principles.
But talking about the fact now-She has too many crazy followers around the world. You shud check her website and they blindly follow her. When I asked my family abt the flag incident they just cut me out by saying those pics are fake and it is just to defame her. But i wonder no one has taken any legal action against her. I believe she should be scandalised and punished for calling herself God(Adi Shakti or whtsoever) and insulting our national flag and all the devotees who say by putting a flag on her feet they were asking her to bless the country should also be punished.

you people are all sick, just come over your ego and see who shri mataji is. She has done so much for her nation, where u all are ,dumb sitting there and criticiing something which is below your understanding. If u want to do somthing go and stop/ blog corruption,or somthing which will help people in india.
April 4, 2007 at 1:52 pm
Dear Sanchu,
The subject here is not regarding “helping people in India”. Please go to a different forum for that. By the way for whom she is mataji?
April 5, 2007 at 8:04 pm
To answer your 2nd sentence first, if u want to know to whom she is ‘mataji’ come and experiance your Realization, then you will know yourself better than me telling which right now, wouldnt make any difference to u at all.
And answering your 1st sentence, I know this forum is not regarding “helping people in India”. Unless and until you know who Shri Mataji is, it is inconvincible to all of u and others talking about her. So please stop this.
We know for 101 % She has greater respect and love for her country than all of u and us , Just putting the flag down doesn’t necessarily have to mean disrespecting. So when u dont know what exactly happened at that scene, u have no right to criticize. So i said,if you want to do anything better than this there so many other things in India, you can mind which needs your full attention.

DEAR SAHAJ YOGIS,
WHY THE HELL ARE YOU GIVING JUSTIFICATION TO THESE PEOPLE..ITS NOT THEIR MISTAKE AT ALL..THEY ARE FAR AWAY FROM REALLITY…PLEASE, THERE IS NO NEED TO FIGHT OR ARGUE..IN SAHAJ, WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO DO THAT..JUST BE IN WITNESS STATE AND ENJOY THE DRAMA AND PRAY GOD FOR THEIR WELL BIENG..
DEFINITELY, THEY WILL FEEL GUILTY WHEN THEY WILL COME TO KNOW THE REALITY..LEAVE IT ON TIME..I HOPE NO SAHAJI WILL COMMENT FURTHER AND LETS STOP THE ARGUMENT FROM HERE ONWARDS FROM OUR SIDE..LET THESE PEOPLE WRITE WHATEVER THEY WANT..ITS EASY TO CRITICISE SOMEONE THAN TO WRITE SOME GOOD THINGS ABOUT HIM.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL
April 10, 2007 at 1:58 pm
YES. I will support “True INDIAN”. All SY’s please be in witness state and be patient. Shri Mataji will take care. Do not argue here.
Jai Shri Mataji
April 11, 2007 at 9:35 am
Who are these Sahajayogis? Why they are supporting this fat lady? And why they dont want to argue further now?
Everything looks like funny to me.
April 11, 2007 at 12:41 pm
Sahaja yogis are followers of Nirmala Srivastava.
She declared herself as AdiShakti, Mary and Fatima. So, they will treat her as Godess on earth and follow her without questioning her.
This you can see in one of the posts above by Sahaja yogis, like “IN SAHAJ, WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO DO THAT..”
They call her as Mataji & her husband as Papaji. Some Sahajayogis think that her husband is god or SadaShiva.
They conduct marriages within SahajaYoga and by doing that they created another race called SahajaYogis. This is like any other religion or race like muslims, christians and hindus.
April 11, 2007 at 1:25 pm
I don’t want others to post at this post number 108.
108, is considered as an auspicious number in SahajaYoga. I think it came from Hindus. We will take 108 names of Shri Mataji in Sahajayoga. Thats why I am posting here, to block this number.

Dear all,
I have some relatives in Sahajayoga. We are very close before they join Sahajayoga. And they are no longer interested to evev talk with us after joining in Sahajayoga. They no longer behaving as relatives and its like we lost them.
Some times I feel very sad about that, when I remember my childhood days and how I spent time with them.
Can anybody help/direct me to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance
January 12, 2010 at 2:49 pm
Dear VSY,
First of all, your conception is untrue.
Please Seek a Self-Realization through a Sahaja Yogi. Your problem will be over.
Only the righteous will go for this.

Jai Shri Mataji
HE BLOCKED 108, THAT IF FUNNY. NEVER UNBLOCK IT…OKAYY…… AND TO END THIS CONTROVERSY MS. NIRMALA DEVI HAS TO APOLOGISE TO INDIANS.
AND I DONT BELEIVE THAT THIS MUCH PEOPLE HAD COME UP TO SUPPORT HER. HOW CAN A LIVING PERSON CAN BE CONSIDERED GOD??? I DONT KNOW. IF YOU CONSIDER HER AS ‘GURU’, THATS FINE… BUT AS GOD IS JUST IGNORANCE. AND ABOVE ALL EXPLANATIONS, WHAT WOULD BE DONE IF THIS WAS DONE BY A NORMAL CITIZEN CALLING HIMSELF A GOD??? AND IF SO CALLED SY’s DONT LIKE TO DISRESPECT THE FLAG, WHY DIDNT THEY REMOVED IT RIGHT AWAY BEFORE SOMEBODY SO SAID PLACED IT NEXT TO HER FEET.
AND HOW A TRUE FREEDOM FIGHTER CAN CLAIM HERSELF AS GOD?? I KNOW ALL THESE QUESTIONS WILL BE NOT ANSWERED AS SY’s HAS DECIDED TO KEEP SILENCE.
April 11, 2007 at 4:52 pm
I WILL SAY SAME THING APPLIES TO ALL PRESENT INCLUDING SACHIN TENDULKAR AND INDIAN HIGH COMMISIONER WHO WITNESSED A CAKE BEEN CUT WITH INDIAN FLAG DESIGN. I BEEN A TENDULKAR FAN FOR LONG TIME AND STILL IS. BUT THIS ACTIVITY WHICH I KNOW IS NOT INTENTIONALY DONE SHOULD BE APOLOGISED. SACHIN ALWAYS IS A MAN WHO IS PROUD TO BE AND INDIAN AND WITH THE SAME PRIDE HE CAN APOLOGIZE FOR BEING THERE. BUT THE INDIAN HIGH COMMISIONER SHOULD BE DEALT MORE SERIOUSLY AS HE IS SOMEBODY WHO IS REPRESENTING THAT FLAG OFFICIALY.
AND I BLOCKED 110 WHICH IS BEFORE 111.
AND as a matter of fact YOU ARE NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BLOCK SPACE
AND FOR SJ’S,
111 IS NELSON FIGURE AND I AM BLOCKING IT.
coz, see below is placed by on of the SY’s
PLEASE, THERE IS NO NEED TO FIGHT OR ARGUE..IN SAHAJ, WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO DO THAT..JUST BE IN WITNESS STATE AND ENJOY THE DRAMA AND PRAY GOD FOR THEIR WELL BIENG..
So Please be in witness state.

That’a all now it’s finished
April 12, 2007 at 10:23 am
Yes. I have seen news about Tendulkar. They have filed a case in court againest him.
Actually its a tri-color cake, not even flag, for that it self they filed a case.
Whereas for Godmen & Godwomen in India, whatever they do nobody will take action against them.
April 12, 2007 at 12:32 pm
What you mean by Sshhhhhhhhh???
Even though we keep quite this incident will stay in our mind, until somebody really apologizes for this. And we will see how we can file a case, just like the one against Sachin at Indore under Prevention of Insult to the National Honour Act of 1971. And even IT Tycoon Mr.Narayana Moothy has apologized for his comments against National Anthem. Nobody should be spared for doing something like this. Court can accept a letter to file if it find it appropriate. So you cant make everybody silent although it seems like it, but its not…
April 12, 2007 at 2:12 pm
Dear sanchu,
We know the details of the incident.
This incident happened at Nirmala Srivastava’s residence in NewJersy on August 15, 2005. You can check sahajayoga’s official website for the detalns at the following link:

Funny threat from one of the Sahaja yogis in some other forum regarding the same topic.
Link: http://crusadertvm.blogspot.com/2007/03/kill-this-spiritual-whore-sorry-for.html
They are threatening that,
“from now onwards life for you is not good, all shakti’s around you disappear and you will pray for invisible god” ..etc..etc.
This shows the blindfaith in them, its not that some uneducated remote villagers have blind faith, even the educated urban civilisation are not an exception for that. Complete text of his post, I am reposting here,

Dear whoever..as an indian first thing is to respect an women..if you have no clue of what power spritual power she carries then just shut up..you are seeing an still picture..where some person just like you put the flag below her feet and took the photo..if we call us indians and god loving and fearing then what and the way we treated our past incarnations incluidng Mother sita and shree Ram and lord krishna is enough that we indians have no undestanding and calling an women an whore is the biggest crime..only when you are born from one would you call other ..even christ was not spared from finger pointing from stupid and ignorant people like you..Prophet mohammed and Shri Sirdi sai nath had to go thru same problem..so first of all if you are great patriot you should know that the flag you are respecting is an indirect way of respecting ..mother india and calling an spritual women an whore is worst or giving same treatment to mother india..
if you want the truth then find out who clicked the photo..if you think you know better to respect the indian flag then first learn to respect an women..i am sure from this time onwards life for you will not be great..all shaktis around you will disappear and the day willl come soon when you will have to pray to the invisible GOD to forgive you for what you said in this email and till this time belive me your life will be miserable then you would have imagined..but we still forgive you from heart as “you do not know what you have said” and may the divine adishakti still bless you and forgive you..

Skep,
You are right. This is blind faith and how can someone so good at heart curse somebody for pointing out somethin wrong. And i agree SY’s saying that we must not use bad words against her, because she is an Old woman whom we must give respect for her age at least.
And i asked some questions [GIVEN BELOW] which no SY’s answered [most probably they dont have good answers]
_____________________________________________
AND I DONT BELEIVE THAT THIS MUCH PEOPLE CAME UP TO SUPPORT HER. HOW CAN A LIVING PERSON CAN BE CONSIDERED GOD??? I DONT KNOW. IF YOU CONSIDER HER AS ‘GURU’, THATS FINE… BUT AS GOD IS JUST IGNORANCE. AND HOW A TRUE FREEDOM FIGHTER CAN CLAIM HERSELF AS GOD?? I KNOW ALL THESE QUESTIONS WILL BE NOT ANSWERED AS SY’s HAS DECIDED TO KEEP SILENCE.
________________________________________________
Lets just stop this and do whatever we have to do. Dont waste our time for this useless. But this blog has helped me to know the reality in SY. And i have always believed that no living man/women can be worshipped as GOD, as GOD almighty is what i consider the power which can cause Lightning, Thunder, Rain, Floods, Earthquakes and all which are beyond humans/mortals control. Its the power which created everything which we should respect and must beleive in. Not a person who will be Ash if he/she stands in front of that lightning or any of those powers.
Ms. Nirmala Devi should explain/penalised/questioned/fined for what has happened. Why cant Ms.Devi come up with a statement saying apologies. What will happen then?? If she apologise saying that ‘it didnt happend with my knowledge and i say sorry to all who felt hurt & i respect my country and our flag’ it will only do good for her to letting others know that how much she cares for the country, if she does.
AS FAR AS RESPECTING COUNTRY, FLAG AND ANTHEM, IT SHOULD BE THE SAME WITH EVERYBODY, EVERY SINGLE CITIZEN. AND NO BODY MUST DISRESPECT OR ALLOW DISRESPECT AGAINST ANY OF THESE SYMBOLS/VALUES WHICH MILLIONS CARE&RESPECT FOR AND STILL READY TO GIVE LIFE FOR.

An indian flag at Nirmala Devi’s feet? Happened in the past as well, seen that while I was prisoner to that cult
Money? She takes cash, jewells, gold coins, anything of value
She is one huge hypocrite and liar
Her devotees wash her feet and drink the water… (true, ask them, they won’t deny)what else can you expect?
She made them blind
April 17, 2007 at 3:47 pm
The so-called apology is just “blaming the
foreigner” – actually it is a lie, putting
India’s flag a Mataji’s feet is normal
behaviour in Sahaja Yoga. There is no real
contrition, just a PR exercise, everybody in
Sahaja Yoga knows it is such, necessary because
the people of India are not ‘ready’ to accept
Mataji’s divinity and allow her to do whatever
she likes like they do. Mataji has had a mental
breakdown and is now on anti-psychotic medication
and can barely move unaided. It is her family who
are now largely running the show with the aid of
Sahaja Yogi flunkies. So she is probably in no
condition to apologise for the flags and lives
she has trampled. In any case, she had never
apologised for anything, even ordering Sahaja
Yogis to show unquestioning obedience to known
sexual abusers.

ex SY convict
I like that user name. Thank God that you are an ex-convict now.
Now i know why they dont have answers for all the questions. And i am pretty sure any average good human can do all the charities Ms. Devi did, if he/she receives all these offerings [money, gold and all] from all these blind devotees. Please, please dont wash her legs and drink water and all. Fear that Ultimate Power which created all this. Not anything else.
April 19, 2007 at 11:46 am
Simon,
You seems to know more about the hidings. Please reveal some here if you can, so that atleast the people who reads this knows what is going on and can spread the truth around. Hopefully they have stopped the ritual of placing flags on her feet, thanks to all the discussions and talking on the net… I think lot of people are keeping quite or kept quite abt the bad deeds of these Demi-Gods, which enables these Demi-Gods to live happily ever after….
April 19, 2007 at 4:45 pm
I see that the fearless servants of the Devi have removed the offending photo from:
http://www.sahajayoga.org/swan/view/swan_380_2005.asp
However, the text remains: “First, an Indian flag was offered to Her and a prayer was recited for the divine blessings and protection of India.”
There is no mention of it being quickly removed.
Sahaja Yogis will tell any lie, commit any crime, cover up any scandal (including the sexual abuse of children), at the behest of their Goddess, to further her ‘divine’ aim of growing her movement and enriching her family.
By claiming to be God or Goddess, all such Godmen and Godwomen put themselves above morality and the law – those who believe in them generally give them carte blanche to abuse at will.

DEAR EVERBODY,
I SINCERELY UNDERSTAND AND RESPECT THE FEELINGS OF THE PEOPLE ABOUT THE INDIAN NATIONAL FLAG.
MOREOVER, WE, ALL THE SINCERE SAHAJA YOGIs PAY THE HIGHEST RESPECT TO ALL NATIONAL FLAGs, ESPECIALLY THE INDIAN NATIONAL FLAG.
I AM ASKING YOU: PLEASE RESPECT THE BOUNDARIES (MARIADAs) IN ALL YOUR POSTINGS.
I WANT TO REMIND YOU THAT ONE OF THE BIGGEST SIN IS TO TELL THINGS ABOUT OTHERS WITHOUT PROOFS. THEREFORE, ONE SHOULD’NT LIE ABOUT OTHERS. THIS IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST MARIADA THAT ONE SHOULDN’T CROSS.
FINAL WORD: HE/SHE WHO REALLY LOVES INDIA IS THE ONE WHO LOVES AND RESPECTS ALL THE VALUES OF INDIA.
April 23, 2007 at 3:52 pm
These sahaja yogis are the funniest people in the world.
The topic here is about dis respect of Indian flag.
Disrespect of your founder which is a matter of few thousand sahaja yogis is nothing compared with disrespect of Indian flag by your founder which is a matter of 100crores of people living in India and lakhs living in abroad.
Note:Your founder was the initiator for this. If she would have respected Indian flag, you would have not seen this day, since nobody would have bothered about your organization and your founder. So, instead of learing mariadas to people here, learn mariadas to your founder first.

Lots of interesting information about sahaja yoga and it founder is available at
http://www.sahaja-yoga.org
She is a follower of Osho before starting sahaja yoga.
With an intention to became spiritual leader, she started sahaja yoga.
Slowly she changed her identity from guru to divine.
Now its the turn of her family members, who are getting divine stamp among sahaja yogis. Interesting stuff, go through, if you have time.

Sahaja Yoga likes to keeps its true nature hidden from newcomers. Newcomers are not told about the system of arranged marriages, Mataji’s claim that she is the Supreme Goddess and Creator of the Universe, how Mataji breaks up families at her whim, how children and toddlers are forcibly sent away to Sahaja Yoga schools in Italy and India, how Mataji threatens those leaving Sahaja Yoga with incurable diseases, how Sahaja Yoga breaks the law to spread its message and preserve funds, how Mataji has declared that any baby that cries in front of her photograph is possessed by demonic forces, how Mataji has encouraged her followers to form political parties and has prophesied that her organisation will rule the world, how Mataji receives money and expensive presents from her followers including a stately home in Cambridgeshire and a castle in Italy.
Dangers of Sahaja Yoga according to FAIR (Family, Action, Information, Rescue) 1993 information sheet:
“Dependence on Mataji and her teaching, leading to an inability or unwillingness to act or think independently. Fear of demonic possession which is very real, as is fear of ‘losing vibrations’, the result of disobeying teaching or missing out on activities. This may lead to obsessive behaviour centred around rituals and talismans (such as bits of Mataji’s hair or the concoction poured on her feet during pujas). Devotees may feel unable to function in normal life unless they have achieved a protective ‘bandan’ or shield. For some, Sahaja Yoga may produce depression, anxiety or fear of mental illness. Estrangement from non-Sahaja Yoga spouses and children is common, often leading to family breakdown. Physical health may suffer. Followers fear dire consequences and incurable illnesses if they leave the movement or are expelled.”

Our Deepest Respect to our National Flag
Our Deepest Respect to our National Flag
We Sahaja Yogis have the highest and deepest respect for our National Flag,
which is the symbol of our National Freedom. Shri Mataji NirmalaDevi participated actively in the Quit India Movement.
Shri Mataji NirmalaDevi asks us all to respect National Flags of all countries.

My statement @post #125 is still valid here. That is
“These sahaja yogis are the funniest people in the world”
One fellow here @post #132 is trying to advertise sahaja yoga here. When people are looking at the dsirespect to national flag done by these sahaja yogis, sahaja yoga and its founder, some people are advertising to join in that funny organization.
May god help these people to get some senses.
May 4, 2007 at 1:56 pm
I have done further research about this organization and came to know some more interesting things. One thing is that, they conduct marriages to sahaja yogis internally. Irrespective of cast, nationality, language the marriage pairs will be declared by a committee and everybody has to bound that committee’s decision. Generally sahaja yogi’s thinks that the pairs were selected by mataji but actually it was done by some committe of sahaja yogis.
Obviously there will be a mis match and the marriage failure rate is very high in sahaja yoga.
One more interesting thing is, some sahaja yogis will suffer a kind of phobia to mingle with people outside sahaja yoga organization. Particularly they want to marry only in sahaja yoga. There is mis match between males and females who apply for marriage in sahaja yoga. Generally women applicants are high in sahaja yoga. Those who ever not got married one year, they have to postpone their marriage to next year. But next year also marriage is not guaranteed. Finally after delaying marriage they will end up in late marriage with outsiders (non-sahaj yogi’s) if at all they want to marry. Here they are not marrying in right age and also they will be having lot of fear to marry a non-sahaja yogi.
Is it not looking funny?

HI Ind,
These SY’s will not come out of the shell there so called Holy Mother has put them into. They are so scared to face the world and quit this Yoga thing even if they know it is not fetching them any good. There are said to be a lot of strings in our subtle system and she is holding them and making her so called chindren act like puppets. I wonder if someone can give them brains, help them come out of this otherwise they are screwed up for all there life.
Indian,
Sahaj marriages is the best possible way to see this cult grow. Imagine two ppl married in SY and then have children in SY……….Ohhhh they will never be able to get out of this……Good going Nirmala Devi.

Gowri,
. I was thinking what all these mortal self called Gods will be telling in a debate if all of them are present. Who is the real one then???
You are right, they cant/wont get out of this. Unfortunatley their lifes are going to be wasted for this. It will be good if atleast some SY’s who are reading these posts gets a click in his/her head and give a rethink about this. One of the most funniest and aukward thing in this whole post happend on #108. See what one SY did there.
And one of your above post says that Ms. Devi consider herself as super goddess and creator of Universe. Sound like “Superman”; oops superwoman rather
I dont need the answer; Know that all are fake… And i will say it again ” Any avergage good man can do all the same thing these Demigods do, if provided/donated by this kind of money” These people dont have special power or anything; they just got money power and just use it in a different way in different ways….
Time to move on i beleive….
Take care & enjoy….

Dear brothers and sisters,
When we are child or when we are very old , if
by mistake our leg is touching the chest of our parents or others, does it mean a disrespect.
Unfortunately, many brothers and sisters given negative comments here, did not know the transe mood this spiritual couple were in. We, specially Indians, read of many spiritual personalities like Sirdi Sai Baba, who streched his leg towards a temple while resting. People were wondering and abused him of disrespecting God. Smilingly He told them to change the direction of his leg where God is not there. Please, my dear friends, dont come to any conclusion until u know fully about this divine couple who have been doing a lot to the humanity.
If we keep some rupee or coin in our pocket which is very much near to our reproductive organs or the organ of discharge, r we disrespecting the currency which we are keeping. For knowing the details of this divine personality pl.come to know about them and dont think they are like politicians, please.
With lots of love

There is a flag code for our national flag, which should be followed by each and every Indian.
The flag code is to make sure that no one will disrespect India. Everyone should treat India’s flag with respect.
No one should have an exception for it. Don’t try to convince by showing some spiritual examples here.

I address this post to all people who made defamatory, vicious and hateful posts against Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi and Her Husband Sir C.P. Srivastava on this blog and other similar blogs. It is also addressed to those that have published information in newspapers or newspaper websites perpetuating this outrageous slander of two great Indians.
Firstly to address what started all this. Let’s say that the photos are real and not fakes and proceed from there. I believe we should try to understand the intention of the devotee in the Photos. To my understanding his intention would have been to put a symbol of his beloved India before his own Spiritual teacher or Guru so that She can bless it. The mistake was to publish this on the net and for this I believe they have apologized. I believe the insult to Indians was absolutely unintentional and actually on the contrary the intention of the Sahaja Yogi was to help India and Indian people. For this you have lost your heads, spoilt yourselves by insulting many people internationally not to mention Shri Mataji, her husband and family. From your comments you all appear to be venomous, dangerous and hateful people. I wonder how many people in India have such extremist views as these. I hope it is a minority. Do you realize that your response to this matter is nothing but the preaching of, and expression of hatred. And that is nothing to be proud of. Does the love of your country ever justify hatred towards another Indian. And I would say that it is a worse insult to the flag, what you all are doing, generating hate, than what was done in the photograph with loving and good intention.
Let us ask – “Why is India great”? My own answer is that it is great because it is blessed, because it is blessed by God. Now how is it blessed? How do we know this? My answer is because many, many saints and God – men and women were born in this country: King Janaka, Shri Rama and Shri Sita, Shri Krishna and Shri Radha, as well as various other avatars of Lord Vishnu. Also various incarnations of the Goddess have been born there. There was also Mahavira, Gnanashwar, Sai Nath, Buddha, Tukaram, Shivaji, Christ himself has also been said to have touched India’s holy soil. The list goes on and on. Interestingly, many were condemned by the people of the time in one way or another. Go to any of their writings tell me where they preach hate and revenge and where is it justified. I challenge you all to find a hateful quote in any sacred scripture or writing by a great soul or where revenge is justified. You will not find even one example.
At the heart of this issue is the notion of God, the belief in God and His/Her goodness, the supreme power of good and love, of divine justice. The notion of hate and God are opposites. Whatever you call Him/ Her Vishnu, Rama, Sita, Shiva, Allah or Jesus etc etc. That is why these gods and saints were sent down, to teach goodness, the way humans should live in harmony, they believed in justice for the weak and firmness for those that try to overpower innocent people. But never hate. They taught to look beyond the color of skin, race/ religion, caste or COUNTRY. Do you want to reject them and their teachings? Yes or no? Do you as an individual want to perpetuate love or hate in this world?
Now whether or not you believe that Shri Mataji, or what her followers believe, is beside the point. The people who have condemned Her in this blog, those that have incited hatred against Her in the media, and others who have posted these pictures on their own blogs need to do a lot of soul searching about this issue and the obscene things they have said.
Whether she is God or not, She is an elderly woman, She personally fought for the freedom of this country, Her husband the most honorable Sir C.P. Srivastava too has worked tirelessly for your great land. Shri Mataji whether She is God-Woman, Saint or just a human has tirelessly traveled the Globe to hundreds of countries telling how great India is. She has taught its values to all Sahaja yogis and other people from all around the world. She has spread its culture of clothing, arts, She has told us many of the great stories of the saints and Gods. She tells of all the special and sacred places there. She tells of its good and naturally spiritual people. She talks about things as a mother tells her children nice things, sweet stories, that will make them good people when they grow up. She tells the Sahaja Yogi’s internationally to live their lives with the innocence of children, She tells them to live lives of purity of mind and body, with the optimism and sense of security of a child with its parents. She teaches to be good and honest and to love what is good in ALL people. She teaches to be loving and not lustful, to use matter and appreciate its beauty yet to not be materialistic. She teaches to live a normal married life. She teaches men to respect women and women to respect men. She teaches all to thank God and be grateful for and satisfied with what they have, whether we rich or poor. She teaches us so many things. Are all these teachings to be condemned as well?
And now Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi and Her Husband, Soldiers for India’s true cause, stand before you all, a life of limitless good deeds and you miserable people condemn them in such horrible ways, I would never repeat. On what side do you stand? On what shaky ground?
Lastly going back to my earlier point, India is great because many great people and Gods have touched their feet on India’s soil. We can say, “It is blessed by God/ The Gods”. However, should they/He/She become angry I wonder what would be the consequence. It is lord Ganesha himself who protects the “principal” of the Mother and when the “Mother” principal is challenged it is said his wrath knows no bounds! Who do you people think you are? Do you think you are blessed and protected unconditionally by God, just because you are born in a great land? I don’t think so!
Normally a good person in this situation would say to one who has transgressed, “I just prey for you”, or famously “forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing” or even “God have mercy “. However in this particular case you will not be hearing this from me nor, I believe from any Sahaja Yogi, they will keep silent. You have insulted them all, because you have insulted their Mother and spiritual Teacher as well as Her husband. Their silence is through gritted teeth and it is hard for their hearts to bare, but bare it they must. The Sahaja Yoga way is to “surrender” a problem, the problem is left to God and God takes care of the matter.
May God forgive me for speaking in this way and perhaps out of character, but in this particular case, I just cannot remain silent, for it is my Mother that has been slandered and defamed. As an individual trying to live up to the ideals of Sahaja Yoga and of Shri Mataji, I prey to my beloved Shri Ganesha that he will do what he will do, if I am wrong in speaking may He discipline and correct me, I bow my head before His lotus feet. His Axe and Noose in hand. Let judgment be His!
All of you who have spoken or written or posted these terrible things have shamed yourselves before your great Mother India and before the whole world in a way words can only feebly express.
You are all welcome to post this message on your blogs or publish this in newspapers that have taken interest in this issue. However I would appreciate that I be quoted in context and that links also to http://www.sahajayoga.org and http://www.sahajayoga.in are present in all publications so that people can benefit from the teachings of Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi.

Mr. Liberman,
First of all i ask apology if any feelings are hurt during the post…
BUT
Why cant Ms. Nirmala Devi describe the situation in front of press or somewhere and tell people how this happened and how she feels? Ms. Nirmala Devi should know more about these feelings as she herself with her family has been in a freedom fight which took countless lifes of Indian Citizens who fought to raise that flag in Capital New Delhi.
LET ME ASK YOU SOMETHING?
Why you wrote for Sahaja yogis and Mataji…??? Because you love her and beleive in her. For you she is the ultimate truth, mother, mentor and many more… Nobody should have a problem with that..
But thats the same way lot of Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikh’s, Parsis, Buddhists, people who dont deleive in God at all; everyone of them feel same or more about India. So they will feel hurt if they see a picutre which portraits insult to Indian Flag. And be frank to you and no offense… I didnt know about Ms. Nirmala Devi before this happened. Most probably same with many other people. So its normal for people to react this way. I dont know whether you know or not. It happend with more famous people also, like criketer Sachin Tendulkar and Infosys MD. They also got into trouble for involving in such activities unknowingly or accidently.
+
I have a question. How you will feel if a normal person places his feet on your national flag? That person can be special to some, but for all others it is somebody who insulted the flag.
THEN about Ms. Nirmala Devi’s teachings…
You might wonder to hear that most of us get the same values taught to us by our parents or grant parent. And most of the people in India know that majority of the family got good parents who wants their kids to be good and teaches all these moral values and all.
I am sure you will know that Sai baba and Matha Amrithanadha Mayi are more famous than Mataji Nirmala. But the same insult thing will happen if something like this is done by them…
Why? coz… our country comes first…
I am a person who would also like to be in a world with no borders and boundaries seperating lands and only 1 relegion and no partialities… but thats a dream world. In reality its important and necessary to respect your country and its symbols… We can look back at the history where many gave their lifes for this country and many took lifes for staying in this country. So thats the world. And even today it happens… So it important to have those values and repsect for your country, whichever country you are from and i am sure 90% of the people will agree with that.
And i surely respect Ms. Nirmal Devi and Mr. CP as they are elder than me. But as a citizen i would like to see them doing something to correct or clear the doubts this picture has created in many peoples mind. And i dont beleive in so called Human God. But do beleive in God, the ultimate power which created everything, which makes sun shine, earth rotate on its axis, which makes thunder, lightning, rain… and everything out of human including these Demi Gods control. I beleive God is there in every place the beleif exists. I know i have to respect teachers, parents and elders.
And to respect/love my country…and give life for it if required.
I would like to repeat some questions
WHAT WOULD BE DONE IF THIS WAS DONE BY A NORMAL CITIZEN CALLING HIMSELF A GOD???
AND IF SY’s DONT LIKE TO DISRESPECT THE FLAG, WHY DIDNT THEY REMOVED/STOPPED RIGHT AWAY BEFORE SOMEBODY SO SAID PLACED IT NEXT TO HER FEET?
AND HOW A FREEDOM FIGHTER CAN CLAIM HERSELF AS GOD OR ALOW OTHERS TO TREAT HER AS GOD??
AND I DO FEEL THAT THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS DONE DEEDS WHICH MAKES HER CLOSE TO GOD IS RESPECTED MOTHER THERESA. HAVE OTHERS SEEN WHAT SLUMS ARE, HAVE THEY SLEPT IN A ORDINARY ROOM TREATING VICTIMS OF LEPROSY OR ANYTHING CLOSE???
I BET THAT MOST OF THEM WILL HAVE TORUBLES TO STAY OUT OF AIR CONDITIONED ROOMS.
THINK ABOUT THIS…

To answer the first qustion. I am an Australian, I love my country, but there are things that i am not proud of as an Australian. That is how we have treated our indigionous peoples until 1960 these people were unable to vote and children were taken from their parents and put into Christian homes or made to live with white Australians. As a father of two children i am horrified by this. Our flag has a union jack on it that is the english flag and symbol. It was the English that came to Australia, not even very long ago. The first English boat came in 1788 they didnt take long to get rid of the locals that were considered “savages”. The land was simple taken from them. I am also aware how the English treated the Indians while they were a colonial power there too. This also makes me uncomfortable and dampens my patriotism. Many people here want to actually change our flag, i would also have no problem with this for the above reasons. This does not mean i dont love my country. I like the Southern cross symbol on the flag though, it is a star constellation, you have that in your sky as well.
I understand Indians are very emotional about the flag thats a good thing but my point was nothing justifies hate. Hate and violence is opposite of God, Love and all that is Good. Therefore my argument stands all the people in this blog that slandered and vilified, in such filthy language, a great Indian are doing more insult to the flag that the yogi in the photo that layed out the flag or Shri Mataji. Got it. Their language perhaps show that those particular people have lost their true culture, and dignity that is proper for people born in such a great country as yours.
I am not an “official” representative of Shri Mataji or of Sahaja Yoga so am in no position to answer your question about why she herself hasn’t said anything or made a statement. Perhaps there will be one soon.
You should consider yourself lucky to have had parents that taught you moral values etc in the west this is getting less and less. I have to say i am hearing many many stories of cultural deterioration in India. For example I am hearing stories of Indians putting their parents unwillingly into aged care homes. I am hearing stories of old Dance Guru’s in India with no Indians to teach their skills to as they are all off doing IT. While in Pune three years ago most of the girls had given up their beautiful coloured saris and punjabis with jeans and t-shirts. I have no moral issues with they can wear what they like, my point is that you have to be on guard that you are not going to loose some of your great culture and values, that were taught to you by your parents. And there are so many Indian leaving india to work and live in the west. I see these all the time in Australia, so many of these forget about their gods and try to be western in their families they just work work work and have little time for the kids (like many Australians). I believe these are the true threats to your nation, materialism and westernisation, as well as the effect of modern media. These are the dangers to your country and its values. Attacking your cultural treasures like Shri Mataji and Sir CP wont help you at all.
I have never seen a Sahaja yogi disrespecting the flag at all all the Indian Sahaja Yogis are very proud of their country. Like i said in my last post I believe that the particular yogi that layed out the flag before Shri Mataji was doing something good for his country. And perhaps if there were other Indian there they also would have been devotees. that is probably why it wasnt removed. Simple.
Regarding why a ” how a freedom fighter can claim herself a God”.
I have heard it said that on India ones parents should be treated like God. It is a long tradition in hinduism for many years to treat ones Guru as a God, as He/She is traditionally seen as the way to moksha. I have also heard it said that one should treat ones guests as gods. Also in raksha bandhan you do arti to your sister. Also you touch the feet or wash the feet of your parents. I am sure you know about all these things more than me as you are from India. Shri Mataji is a Sat Guru we treat Her as such. So to Indians especially Hindu’s there should be nothing unusual or weird about this.
Why cant a freedom fighter also be a Sat guru?
I dont understand you question about Mother Theresa.
I am glad you believe in God even though you dont believe in a human one, thats ok with me. in Sahaj dont try to say god is only human ie krishna, Christ etc but also formless also nature etc or living energy. Actually everyone understands it differently you can call it what you want. Yogis are from all religions, casts and backgrounds.
Can I ask you a question? Do you think it was nice or justified those things said above by other people? Can these things be said about a Woman? a mother? a spiritual teacher? an ambassador of India? an freedom fighter? because of having a flag placed before her by a devotee?
i am not sure, by the sound of it you have actually read the things said. I am sure you would be quite shocked. I dont think it was you that said any of these things. Your tone appears a little less hostile.
And by the way have you been to the website http://www.sahajayoga.in you can read all about Sahaja Yoga and make up your own mind rather than just reading misleading blogs about it. Try the “self realisation”. I am sure the whole thing will make a lot of sense to you.
May 9, 2007 at 8:43 pm
a correction
“Like i said in my last post I believe that the particular yogi that layed out the flag before Shri Mataji BELIEVED HE was doing something good for his country”.
May 10, 2007 at 5:44 pm
Mr. Liberman,
First thanks for giving all those facts about your country. Trust me i have always thought why a country like Australia has to allow British flag on ther flag??? Its strange.
”
The land was simple taken from them. I am also aware how the English treated the Indians while they were a colonial power there too. This also makes me uncomfortable and dampens my patriotism. ”
This dampens your patriotism… I feel really patriotic when i think that my older generation had all kind of struggles, bear all hardship and many sacrificed their lifes for getting our country back from colonial power. That makes more stress on respecting/guarding what they fought for. Thats how i feel…
Then i know descrimination is everywhere in some form, but when it comes to matter of country i have seen India united forgetting all that and i think that will/should be the same with other countries.
Then after reading your reply i feel a little cool about this issue when i think from a patriotic devotees point of view. But still the picture from its apperance looks terrible and really offensive. So the point is why Ms. Nirmala Devi didnt come out with a comment on this. As i said she should know more about how people feel about flag and nations, being a freedom fighter herself.
We have a great culture of our own. But let me tell you that, our culture got strong roots in 90% of Indian minds and it is hard to take over that by western culture and it wont happen. And i do support adopting good things from other culutre. Otherwise what is the point in saying that ‘we got a great culutre’. We should adapt to the good for sure… Thats how a great culture develops. Sure should not allow other to take over. One of the small and great in sense example happend recently. I dont know whether you know or not. A celebrity couple [Aishwarya & Abishek BAchan - google it for pics] got married and it was completely in a traditional way. They can always be seen wear trendy outfits [google it] and modeling with all the western aspects and Ash was former Miss Universe [google]. That proves that the culutral value is still very strong inside even with high profile people and it will be there for ever. And i am sure that it is there in middle class. But ofcourse some do like other cultures completly and its the case with every nation. The dance teachers without students is just a bluff and its not the case… There is a decrease but surely not to endanger some art and great preference is given to preserve if any. And we can’t blame people if they want better life/income.
”
I am sure you know about all these things more than me as you are from India. Shri Mataji is a Sat Guru we treat Her as such. So to Indians especially Hindu’s there should be nothing unusual or weird about this. ”
I have seen people treating these Human Gods and it is really awkward. Placing their picture with a divine picture is like treating them like a God. And in true case they dont have control over nothing. They can be killed by lighting, they can get sick coz.. they are not GOD.
Then people using language they shouldNT have used.. I agree that was really unnecessary and should have avoided. The mere fact that her family was associated with freedom fight should have standed as a sheild against using those language + to an elderly woman. And i will asure you that if a picture like this was published with a common man in question, more harsh and inventive comments
would have appeared; with no one to question or talk against them…+ thats the thing with all blogs and online chatting. Unfortunate that we cant do nothing about it unless the site blocks it.
”
And there are so many Indian leaving india to work and live in the west. I see these all the time in Australia, so many of these forget about their gods and try to be western in their families they just work work work and have little time for the kids (like many Australians).”
Well to be true i am someone who work outside India. I miss my coutnry really badly and now i really know how much i love it. And i will settle down in India only. And for now, atleast all the money goes to India only. You can google on approx billions flowing to India from Non Resident Indians.
Then these are the other question which you have left unanswered.
1) WHAT WOULD BE DONE IF THIS WAS DONE BY A NORMAL CITIZEN CALLING HIMSELF A GOD???
2) THE ONLY PERSON I CONDISER CLOSE TO GOD IS MOTHER THERESA, WHO HAS DONE GREAT THINGS, BEARED REAL HARD SITUATIONS TO DO GOOD FOR POOR PEOPLE. SO MY QUESTIONS WAS WHAT HAS THESE SELF CALLED GODS DID COMPARING TO WHAT MOTHER THERESA HAS DONE LIVING IN SLUM FOR PEOPLE TREATIND LEOPRACY. I KNOW THAT IT WILL BE HARD FOR THESE ‘GODS’ TO GET OUT OF AIR CONDITIONED ROOMS.
I DONT HAVE ANSWERS FOR MANY OF THESE QUESTIONS AND THATS WHY I STILL STAND BY THE COMMENTS WHICH I HAVE MADE EARLIER.
And i respect they way you see world and your family & the your value even though surrounded by a different culture/world.

To Ind
To Answer the first question
[WHAT WOULD BE DONE IF THIS WAS DONE BY A NORMAL CITIZEN CALLING HIMSELF A GOD???]
If an “ordinary person” PUBLICLY and INTENTIONALLY disrespected the flag I believe Indian laws should apply.
However Shri Mataji is an exceptional Indian and not an “ordinary one”, for many reasons but not least that She fought in India’s freedom struggle in Gandhiji’s “Quit India Movement”, leading many student protest marches against British occupation and together with her family actively assisted the resistance movement in any way they could. Her father was jailed many times for this, causing her family much suffering. She Herself was tortured by the British for her role. She was also rusticated from her University (This is why she did not complete Her medical degree). My second point is that I don’t believe this photo was not meant to be displayed publicly or designed to insult Indian’s. And finally this image was not intended to insult people, or be seditious in any way. Thus Shri Mataji should in no way be seen as committing any sort of crime. (also see above that I have not included the great work she has done spreading her spiritual message and propagating Sahaja Yoga, as some of you obviously have doubts about this)
I also don’t believe any of the punishments that were mentioned in this blog above should be applied to anybody, period, even if they had actually disrespected the flag. I think perhaps a large fine would be a suitable punishment for who had intentional done so. But this is just my own personal opinion. The punishments suggested above indicate that those that made these suggestions for punishments are indeed backwards and barbaric people, unlike any of the Indians I have personally met. Perhaps one day when these people commit a crime they should be treated with this harshness if they think it fit for others? Perhaps in future those that speak with such barbarity towards any man, let alone a freedom fighter (or Sat Guru), will be seen as the true criminal, and it will be them that will be ousted. You should all be aware and think of this potentiality before writing such shameful things.
To answer the second question.
[2) [THE ONLY PERSON I CONDISER CLOSE TO GOD IS MOTHER THERESA, WHO HAS DONE GREAT THINGS, BEARED REAL HARD SITUATIONS TO DO GOOD FOR POOR PEOPLE. SO MY QUESTIONS WAS WHAT HAS THESE SELF CALLED GODS DID COMPARING TO WHAT MOTHER THERESA HAS DONE LIVING IN SLUM FOR PEOPLE TREATIND LEOPRACY. Shri Mataji has travelled the world for many years, to many places, rich and poor, teaching the great message of Sahaja Yoga and giving Self realisation to all who ask for it, rich poor, young old to people of all religion, class and background. She does not also keep this power to herself but has empowered the Sahaja Yogis to give realisation to any that ask for it. After getting realisation and with the daily practice of meditation, (one does not get the benefits by just being a devotee but only by ongoing daily practice) people experience health benefits (proven research), relationship benefits, experience profound inner joy in daily life (even when not meditating), understand the hidden meanings in ancient spiritual texts that have alluded serious intellectual interpreters, find that their own creativity and appreciation of creativity blossoms, become a responsible mother father sister brother even if he or she has not had proper example from parents, and the devotee him or herself also becomes a master, a guru of himself (but also able to give actualisation/ enlightenment to others). I talk from personal experience. What She has done can not be compared to the work of Mother Theresa that is like comparing oranges to apples. Can you tell me to whom Mother Theresa gave enlightenment?? As far as I know there is nobody making this claim. I say this without disrespect, but we must see her work was very different to that of Shri Mataji.
Furthermore Shri Mataji has cured many, many people of diseases, some incurable, and there are many, many cases of this. And as I said, She has also empowered her devotees to give realisation (Atma Sakshat Kar) and also have curing powers.
I would also like to add
To those that criticize Shri Mataji and say She does all this for money and power I say: She was born into a rich family, She has always had plenty of money. Why would she bother to travel to hundreds of countries over the years giving thousands of talks on spirituality and culture. Use logic, common sense, if this were you and you were totally rich why would you spend over 30 years of your life talking about spirituality? What She has done is entirely extraordinary and unselfish.
Also recently She has signed over and given many of Her properties to the independent Sahaja Yoga Council, that are there to ensure that the benefits of Sahaja Yoga can be given to all worldwide into the future. She has also funded much of the work of spreading this message of Goodness and the higher nature and role of the human race with Her own family money. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi is Blameless and Pure as her name indicates.

Mr. Liberman,
If a common man can be fined for this what cant mataji be fined??? Why cant she give an explanation about this??? Everyone is equal before law. Atleast she should have given an explanation. What this leave is, doubt in peoples mind abt all this…. i know she being a knowlegable person might not care this, but if she care about people she should have atleast given an explanation. I am not getting into this anymore. Let what you believe stay with you and what people believe stay with them and what i beleive stays with me.
Ofcourse that doesnt matter to your or MAtaji or Sahaja yogis…
But i do condemn those bad words written in above blogs… thats was unfortunate… But thats world. nobody can change that, i mean no human…. Unless a big flood comes with the melting of Antartic and takes all away… or with another ice age… Till then everything else will go on like this… Enjoy your life as you can…
Try to do good, talk good and see good…i am one trying to be like that
I beleive you are already like that…
Take care all…
I hope i wont be visitng this page again…
Njoy till it ends….

Mr Liberman,
you know full well that all this talk about Mataji having the right to disrespect the Indian flag because she was associated with the Indian Independence movement (how closely has not been proven) is just a flim-flam for outsiders.
Sahaja Yogis let Mataji do whatever she likes because they believe her to be the Goddess who created the Universe – that is the fact you are trying to gloss over.
Sahaja Yogis always come out with these mealey-mouthed excuses because they are afraid that if they express their real views they will only attract ridicule – quite rightly.
However, I agree with with you that the poor duped Sahaja Yogis had good intentions. I also agree that Mataji probably shouldn’t stand trial, as she is no longer in a fit mental state.
However, this is not the case for her husband Mr CP who must surely know that his wife, who needs to be medicated with anti-psychotic drugs to control her hallucinations, is not the Goddess she has claimed to be.
Incidentally Mr CP is not a ‘Sir’, he would only be so if he were a British Citizen and his knighthood were not honourary. To accept the appelation ‘Sir’ as he has done is to suggest that he is British Citizen and further throws into doubt his degree of respect for his Indian nationality.
The funniest thing about Mr CP is that he has written a book about corruption and how it has ruined India, yet now he presides over a corrupt cult that lines the pockets of his family. That is truly shameful.
Best, Simon

Sahaja Yogis lie to others in the same way the lie to themselves. All these Kyriacous and Libermans who write about morals & principles know very well that the greatest motivator to the decaying Nirmala Devi is money and her tireless self indulgence of eating lavish food, shopping for luxuries, travelling first class and international praise. Luckily for the world she will be remembered as yet one more over-fed parasite filthily enriched by the blind faith of gullible westerners.
Her husband CP is a double-faced profiteerer who after retirement from a dusty bureaucracy (which under his ruling years failed miserably to its mission of efficiency in regulating international shipping) found a source of income, comfort and the reassuring hobby of dealing with his wife’s international guru business.

Her devotees say:
“With Her intense, powerful gaze She blessed every person and every country who came before Her, so that we could feel the rays of Her love flooding into our hearts.”
But you will see that the guru shows no interest on these displays of devotion or is in no mental condition to relate to what is going on.

To: Simon M, Ex SY & Gowrie
I had mentioned in one of my posts above that if one simply follows Shri Mataji without meditating properly as a daily practice that one would not receive the full benefits of Sahaja Yoga. I believe that all three of you might have fallen into this category unfortunately for you all. Shri Mataji does not push anyone to be her devotees; She does not want anyone to believe in Her with ‘blind faith’ perhaps how you had done. Sahaj is not like any other faith or religion where you can just say im a Christian im a Jew im Buddhist etc. To be a true Yogi or realised soul one must attain that level through his or her own personal experience and meditation. It’s not a club. Until we really experience things we cannot call ourselves true yogis. In my own case I have questioned things every step of the way, I was aware at the very outset of starting off with Sahaj that divinity and the truth of what Sahaj and Shri Mataji is should be proven to me. I have seen that proof, through my own experience, intuition and awareness. I can’t prove these experiences to anyone else, and actually i don’t need to, I have nothing to prove to others. All I would say is that they should ask for proof directly themselves rather than accepting opinions of others especially embittered ex ‘Sahaja yogis’.
Now what have you all to prove? Why are you trying to prove that Shri Mataji is false that’s your belief – but who are you? Are you happy in your life? Do you help your family and friends? Do you have an open heart for all people? Are you making a positive contribution to world peace in some way, like are you a forgiving person? Can you get over mistakes you have made in the past? How is your self-esteem? These are questions I ask myself sometimes, and if any of these are a problem I am able to use Sahaj techniques as taught be Shri Mataji to fix and heal myself. This works for me very well, I don’t have to take medications go to therapy sessions etc I am far from perfect, but you know I am happy how things are going for me. Sahaj techniques help me a lot and offer common sense solutions to things. For me for some reason it really works and for you it obviously did not. I am sorry about that. I feel sad sometimes when I read stuff from embittered ex ‘yogi’s’ like you. You don’t seem like very happy people.
May 19, 2007 at 6:37 am
Using my limited intellectual capabilities all my doubts and questions have been answered, I am happy with the answers that I have arrived at through my own personal experiences and not what anybody has told me. I am very happy in this way to practice SY and to practice the things Shri Mataji discusses in Her talks. It just makes sense to me, all of it. Shri Mataji says anyone can come to SY there is no test or trial or anything like that, and there is also no checking people who are in it or practicing it. It’s just a personal thing that you do. And its probably true to say that all people practicing understand it in a different way to one another according to there own individual awareness. Sorry to ramble but really for me its real, I don’t believe I am misled in any way, I do what I want, say what I want, think what I want in my own way.
Are all your problems over now that you have stopped using Sahaj meditation and techniques? Are you feeling much better now? Perhaps you are. I hope so.
On an intellectual level, I have come to understand the limitations of modern western thought, that believes that science is everything, that there is no such thing as reincarnation, no past ‘golden ages’, no underlying truth or essence beneath all things, love is just something very limited and self gratifying. For me as a westerner I always wanted there to be something more and (again admittedly on an intellectual level) I have come to realise that most cultures other than Anglo western ones have believe in these ‘supernatural’ issues in one way or another. So from this perspective also Sahaj make a lot of sense and also offers a lot of very strong answers and even a positive new direction.

……last bit of my post
please excuse the length
People that are reading posts by ex-Sahaja Yogis should take them with a grain of salt and understand that these people have had some personal bad experience and should not judge Shri Mataji, Sahaja Yogis nor Sahaja Yoga by this. See for yourself, judge for yourself, think for yourself don’t let others do it for you.
You can try a little Sahaj Meditation at:

People who reads MLiberman posts should take them with a grain pepper and understand that these people donot have any experience and not gained any thing in SY, but still talks about sahaja yoga, since their founder shown in the pics above asked them to spread sahaja yoga all over the world.
May 22, 2007 at 5:46 am
to: ex Sy
I am glad you still have a sense of humour. It is true we tell all who are interested about it, or ask us about it. And yes Shri Mataji has asked the Yogis to spread the beautiful message of Sahaj around the world. But what all should understand is that: Because of all the great experiences and well-being the yogis have been given out of the simple daily practice of Sahaj it is their honour and sincerest pleasure to do so.
June 10, 2007 at 3:42 pm
There are so many axes being grinded here it is hard to recall that the actual topic was all about, which was if in fact who should be the target of all this vilification with respect to the inappropriate treatment of the Indian Flag.
This topic has been railroaded by all manner of people wasting everyone’s time with the pursuit of their own personal agendas, venting their spleen in all manners with their largely innocuous superfluous prophesizing. There are lots of forums where all these characters can contemplate their navels with their various gripes to their hearts content.
The fundamental question which has not been answered nor addressed by anyone in this forum, is that the respected figures who have been so unjustly attacked, were not aware of the treatment of the flag at that time, and as such cannot be held account for the actions of other, well meaning, but mistaken individuals.
June 13, 2007 at 6:51 pm
THe fundamental question here is yet one more proof of yet one more lie by the Mataji and her corrupt husband. Instead of telling the truth, like her devotees who admit “Mother is puryfying Flag by keeping her feet on it!! Her feet are so precious…” in their official statement the liar Mataji puts the blame on some morron. That flag stayed at her fat feet, she and her hubby knew it all the long.
At least one state government in India will be taking action. Read this:http://guruphiliac.blogspot.com/search?q=sahaja
June 15, 2007 at 3:47 pm
Seeing as the “taking action” news was posted in April and my calendar says it is June, probably another “beat up” in line with all the “controversy” supposedly being fuelled along but then again perhaps the officials in Orissa know something about jurisdiction.
The statement of who knew what, and when, cannot be verified as fact by any picture, or any statements attributed to others, you cannot apportion responsibility, or blame based upon what others comments, or the image itself.
Most people here miss the fundamental point that the alleged incident happened in New York, at least no one, so far has challenged the location. The often quoted laws governing the treatment of the Indian Flag have jurisdiction in India. As we all know within the US there are not reciprocal laws governing the treatment of any flag, the US or any Flag. So all these calls for action have no basis .
June 24, 2007 at 2:37 pm
chris,
CALL FOR ACTION HAVE NO BASIS????????????
Even tough actions are not taken atleast some people who have read this post know how people felt abt this whole thing. Why the SY’s have come out justifying all this in their website. Its because of all these been written and shared. I know that there are many other topic discussed other than the particular incident itself. But that is the whole point in being in a discussion. You discuss stuff, not just the topic but other related to it. And i do agree that you must not drag it over a limit. 80% things dicussed here are related to SY and Ms. Devi and all and its part of the topic.
If we discuss just the topic headline, try to balance out which side is heavier… i dont think no way is there to do that. Unless you find some kind of formula for it. I feel maths and calculations are the only topic in which we can’t skip away from the actual point trying to sort out something.
And even now when i am trying to justify all, i have skipped from the actual heading. Bt thats the nature of discussions… i beleive.
Lets get to our on conclusions after reading all these. Coz its rare that people have agreed to stop at a single point at any free discussions.
)at any point.
I points i am noting/learned are…
1. Insult been done to flag, in a non SY prospective, from an Indians prospective.
2. Now i know that there are people who are so into SY and got faith in Ms. Devi. [Everyone got their rights!!!]
a. Then there are people who been in SY and now hate it.
3. I know that there are people who dont agree with demi Gods [including me
4. Happy to know that there are so many who treasure, love and respect National Flag. I am proud to be and Indian as always…
5. from CHRIS -> this incident happened in US and it will be hard to take any legal action on this in US or from India.
6. users will be using bad languages all the time on the net, some gets hurt, some just love to read it, some just do it again…
7. And no matter what others do… you must do your work to reach where you want and to earn your dinner.
Take care all…
and good luck…

POST 158
Perspective replaces all ‘prospective’ used,,, sorry….:-)
June 30, 2007 at 3:28 pm
BLOGS such as this are populated by anyone with a viewpoint, and an internet connection, but with zero accountablity it’s a daily match, back and forward of unfiltered, uninformed, opinion without the traditional checks and balances of what is “truth” and “real”
Can we really trust what’s being said, certainly not . No one here, or any BLOG, is beholden to any stringent editorial policies, or any code of ethics, just look at the title of the topic it is so loaded and bias. This whole exercise is just a free for all to bang away as often as the “gripe” takes them, that’s the thing that brings everyone on board, come and watch the fun, is it “truthfull”, who cares, as long as the BLOGGER believes, what else is there, just shout, long and loud, and watch the fun.
I could not disagree more with IND, I do not accept that any conclusions can be drawn because nothing has been established as “fact”, you are just summarising the varying degree of the different levels of noise, the thing about this BLOG is it has nothing whatsoever to do with the facts but mere “opinions”.
All that this has been about is to let the BLOGGERS get to know each others subjective feelings as the mob take up their torches and look for matches.
Each should just embrace the fact they aren’t being objective and are just having a vent, the mask of objectivity is probably the more worrying concern, “axe grinders” disguising their preferences as some kind of objective stance
July 10, 2007 at 3:11 pm
Mr Kyriacou: if this blog is of no relevance, what are you bringing your wise legalese to defend your scum bag guru?
The line of defense has been shifting from
1. the photos are fake
2. sorry a foreign morron did a mistake
Both 1 & 2 are ridiculous. So now you open your legal books and offer:
3. it was done in the US, so it does not count.
Not surprising, like guru, like disciple…
July 11, 2007 at 8:07 am
The sentiment expressed by words such as yours require no response, and certainly no defense
July 15, 2007 at 1:32 pm
Chris,
No wonder users use bad language.
Can you stop messing around and say what the point you are trying to attest is?
Do you want us to say that “It’s perfectly alright to place a flag under ones feet?” or
“All the pictures are crop of adobe and they are not factual?” or “SY is just great and everybody in the world including Sai Baba should follow it”???? We just don’t get it…
About facts and blogs.
So where else YOU think people need to go to know something when the easiest access is internet? And its from this blog I came to know that SY’s has apologized/explained about the Flag issue in their official web. Is that a ‘FACT’? What you have done is distrust everyone saying that nothing is factual and all are just shouting out. I didn’t do that. I trusted some stuff which I thought is acceptable/common sense, like I trusted you saying
“within the US there are not reciprocal laws governing the treatment of any flag, the US or any Flag”
But you can’t tell me/anybody that “Only what I am telling is true, coz I am Alpha”
Your Fact speech seemed something like a child saying “Sir, I don’t believe man went to moon; coz I never been there, I didn’t see somebody going and I don’t trust any writings or pictures”
Still stand by my POV that we can assess a blog and try to grasp some facts which each being thinks is logical. To concede all what others say is almost like slaving your mind before a human whom some perceive as superhuman.
Coz he says ‘he is the master of universe’ far superlative that most of Demi’zzzz
‘He-Man’ is the only superhuman I believe in
Chris please don’t come up with another bouquet of BS again…please…
Take care all…
hi to Gowri for being one of the last ones standing.
July 16, 2007 at 12:15 pm
Dear IND,
The Indian Trust gave an unequivocal apology for any hurt due to this incident, if this topic was about the circumstances around this, what more is needed.
With regards the fallacy of the Internet, thanks, your own words have hit the nail right on the head, just because it is quick, and it is easy, and it is at your finger tips does not make it true, just quick, and easy, and at your fingertips.
> So where else YOU think people need to go to know something when the easiest
> access is internet?
Facts are based on evidence, not speculation and opinion. The last place I look if I want to know something is the internet, why, it is all in 160. Zero accountability, unfiltered, uninformed, opinion without the traditional checks and balances of what is “truth” and “real”, no stringent editorial policies with backup source references, no code of ethics (just reread some of this vitriol), no evidence, no balance.
Most of this topic has been unsubstantiated opinions and personal views. As long as they are presented as just this, but if they are presented as ‘real’ and ‘verifiable’ and people then start drawing “conclusions” that is their business, but for mine conclusions are drawn from independently verifiable facts, evidence with references, and source material.
You can believe what you want, that’s your business but don’t assume all these “earnest views” are based on anything which can be verified independently of the contributor, unless they can provide evidence, assume nothing and caution is advised.
Good luck with your search, I think the Internet is the last place to look. To borrow a line from Socrates there is nothing greater than to “Know Thyself”, look within and that is the only truth worth finding.
chris
July 16, 2007 at 9:01 pm
Chris,
“Unless they can provide evidence, assume nothing and caution is advised.”
So you want me to keep asking for substantiation, clues and details for whatever somebody says. Never ever use logic, common sense to evaluate a thing yourself. Fine…
And you don’t believe or trust whatsoever you see in internet at all… Good luck to you. So swift and effortless means not trustable… So these are ‘FACTS’ in your book…?
I guess there is no point to converse or argue with.
I hope Socrates didn’t say “Know thyself, doubt others”
And if you follow what Socrates said, you really need to find out what YOU are?
Coz prior to shouting what crowd is telling is lie; you must prove how true you are and what truth you stand with, what you call ‘FACTS’. But now it’s over and done with.
Sorry all for skipping a long way from focus. But I guess there is no need to drag the subject anymore as lots of conclusions have been made regarding this.
Take care all…
Have fun.
July 17, 2007 at 12:42 pm
As we are ending this stream I do need to clarify a few things:
>So you want me to keep asking for >substantiation, clues and details for whatever >somebody says. Never ever use logic, common >sense to evaluate a thing yourself. Fine
Please re-read this topic. If people want to revert to abuse, slander, and personal attacks , then I am afraid yes, substantiation of facts are the first step, before we move to prosecution. As I have said all through this stream too many have jumped to “lets prosecute” without the least attempt to establish culpability. Allegations leveled without any verification. Personally I cannot apply logic, common sense, and evaluation based on the opinions expressed from unsubstantiated allegations. I require a higher level of proof.
>Coz prior to shouting what crowd is telling is >lie; you must prove how true you are and what >truth you stand with, what you call ‘FACTS’. >But now it’s over and done with.
If you read what I have said I have not accused anyone of lying just bring more to the table. Now remember that I actually practice Sahaja Yoga, so yes, I will pull people up and ask upon what basis their opinions are based, where are their facts ? I read it on a Website does not cut it. People look at a photo, quick to condemn and judge, and call for all sorts of violence, without establishing what actually happened, I have no problem in pulling them up and asking the most fundamental of questions. If an unequivocal apology is not enough, then the so called “flag issue” is not the one we are dealing with .
Enjoy, and have fun
chris
July 17, 2007 at 2:24 pm
“If an unequivocal apology is not enough”
It is not sufficient, and that is why the crowd is not content or satisfied. As mentioned, Ms. Devi being believed a freedom fighter should know how Citizens feel about the flag and she didn’t come out explaining this issue, which has upset many and this even though not a huge issue will definitely stay with people. And you can’t change that no matter what you explain. And I know it won’t matter to SY what people think.
I don’t blame you trying to explain this, being a SY you are just shielding what you believe in…
BUT being Citizens who respect our National Flag,
we have the far supreme right to express our self if even a picture speaks against it. Some expressions are condemnable and crowd does react differently in an open media. In fact the most genuine expressions are offered hiding out nothing which doesn’t happen in most places. Some language used are repulsive as expected in a media like this. But one should remember what the reason behind it which provoked all this and it’s not like someone started yelling at Ms. Devi all of a sudden with no cause and everybody else pursued.
This subject has already ended. Time cured the wound. But a scar stays, reminding what has happened even though pain has weakened.
Chris, can we end this please…:-)
Take care all…

With some of the comment in this forum, such as above this I must say I agree with Sir Elton who said of the internet had “stopped people from going out and being with each other, creating stuff”.
“I do think it would be an incredible experiment to shut down the whole internet for five years and see what sort of art is produced over that span,” he said.
Sir Elton is not alone in his views; the author Andrew Keen, in his book The Cult of the Amateur, says the internet is killing our culture and assaulting our economy.
“Anyone can use their networked computers to publish everything from uninformed political commentary, to unseemly home videos, to embarrassingly, unreadable comments, reviews, essays, and novels”
August 4, 2007 at 3:03 pm
Chris,
Please ignore odd comments… Nikunj did not know about the issue i believe. It seems like something shaped by unrestrained first expression, same like lot other posts at earlier stage. But if he had read about this starting a while ago, he would not have made same comments at this stage.
Moreover, please use another forum if you want a debate on internet although it seems extreme discomfited, criticizing NET using NET
It is like eating something saying, “Hey, this is 4 days old, smells bad and tastes awful” – Awwkward
Anyway, different people diverse viewszzzz….
Take care…

Mr Kyriacou has been a convict of Sahaja Yoga all of his adult life (early 80′s to date) I have been part of the cult as well: we both know that disciples follow blindly the (dis)orders of their Mataji. Now Mr Kyriacou’s latest pole shifting is that anything in internet is crap… sigh.
Crap like their website http://www.sahajayoga.org ?
or crap like the website of the ex convicts of Sahaja Yoga http://www.sahaja-yoga.org which offers all the substantiation his legalese requires?

These views, and unrequested free character assesments are mere personal opinion lacking in any substantive value, ethic, inherent creed or morality.
Facts are based on evidence, and less upon personal speculation and opinion. The comments herein have zero accountability, unfiltered, uninformed outlooks, with no stringent referential integrity, no backup source references, no code of ethics, no evidence, no balance.

August 30, 2007 at 12:46 pm
Milind,
We don’t have to reveal you what we have done by words or deeds for our country. And standing for national flag is one of those things and its far better than keeping silence fearing meek criticism like yours saying “ you only shout, but wont act”. And on what base your are challenging us to try Sahaja Yoga if what you really want is us to prove how much we adore our country? That is so stupid. You are blinded by something…
We found so many negative stories and facts about Sahaja Yoga and Ms. Niramala Devi and her family on internet. And same with lot other Demi Gods….
I HAVE A QUESTION
WHY any negative comments about Mother Theresa couldn’t be found anywhere? None whatsoever…Why? That’s what purity or spirit and deeds harvest. Think“““““`
Take care….

Come on Chris Kyriacou, quit trying to sound like a smart ass and tell people here why you personally:
- drink the wash water of your guru’s feet
- believe that watching the eclipse is bad for pregnant women
- sit butt-naked over ashwain smoke to purify your moolhadara chakra located on your crotch
- put lemons & chillies under your pillow at night to absorb negativity
and finally, believe that the drooling pagal Mataji created the Universe.
We will then be able to assess the depth of your accountability, filtered & informed outlooks, with stringent referential integrity, backup source references, code of ethics, evidence and balance.
September 1, 2007 at 5:20 pm
Gowri,
“stringent referential integrity”
You hammered Chris’s monopoly on tough
Assshwain smoke, water from feet and Chillies under pillow ….Oooooooooooooo
Calm down…….

Take care…
September 3, 2007 at 6:23 pm
Ind,
Promisssss, I’ll calm down.
I’ve witnessed such nonsense while in the Sahaja Yoga cult, it would be funny if it hadn’t been tragic for many.
So when they send the Kyriacous to gain some respectability, this highest level of hypocricy is hard to accept.
THe guru preaches (actually preached, nowadays the glorious creator of the universe is senile and makes no sense) all sorts of comendable values, only to sit on them and do exactly the opposite: she is greedy, jealous, unforgiving, uncompassionate, tyranic, manipulative… the list is long.
So why an intelligent and articulate Kyriacou follows her, you may ask? He joined SY in his young twenties, the cult system pushes you to make existential sacrifices that bind you further. When you reach your late 40′s it’s too late to travel the way back, so you continue to swim further…

People like Milind are the typical examples, to say Sahaja yoga is based on blind faith.
The challenge he wants to impose on others is still a challenge for him-self and through out his life he will struggle to succeed in that challenge.
The challenge is “HE HAS TO RECOGNIZE NIRMALA SRIVASTAVA AS GOD”
The truth is “SHE IS NOT GOD”
Since she is not god, he can never ever recognize her as god and his challenge remains till end of his life.
All Sahaja Yogis and many other blind followeres other in the organizations other than Sahaja yoga are struggling with these false claims by their GURUS.
Now those people like Milind’s state is, they have not recognized them as god and they start believing that they are GOD. This we call as blind faith. Now they will think as super human beings came to save the world and tries to show that on others.
This will lead to a psychological disorder in their behavior.
Family members and friends will have tough time in dealing with these people.
All family members and friends of Sahaja yogi’s face lot of problems.

After seeing these snaps I felt sahaja yoga is “Holding it in ones hands until you relize it came”…
Damn, I can’t get if its a trick pulled against her or a co-incidence. Anyways, its disgusting to look!!

i don’t know whether this is true or not. if it’s a morphed picture, then it’s just sad to see miscreants trying to defame a person this way. not that i believe in her being “god” or anything. no individual deserves this kind of defaming.
on the other hand, if this IS true, then she should be punished. i don’t care what she did 60 years ago, or whether she was Gandhi’s disciple. i don’t think Gandhiji would want to see this picture if he was alive today. she might be the only person responsible for India’s freedom (as some of her more obsessed devotees might even say), but that DOES NOT give her the right to allow anyone to place the flag at her feet.
and please don’t tell me she didn’t notice the person who placed the flag there. i don’t think such an act can go unnoticed unless someone deliberately ignores it.
and, frankly speaking, any saint (as the example of mother Teresa has been sited above) will not allow people to do her puja and have her feet washed while sitting comfortably on a couch.
April 23, 2008 at 11:30 pm
P.S.: i didn’t know god women wore nail colour on the toes.

Nirmala Devi and her husband should be hang in open public place. they are offender of all indian people who loved his “Bharatmata”. I and for all of indians want to say they are big criminals than a rapeist who only rape a girl without her consent but in this act they rape of all indian people’s heart and mind.

It is disgusting. Does our society, goverment, police keep this knowledge? Is there any action taken on this? get to now if came on ndtv. if not,.. and if we ignoring this than we responsible for this and give our support to this.
she is so sick. she should be behind bars.
i get to read a letter here from the rajendra kumar on behalf of sahaja yoga trust. i feel its fake .. if it was a mistake than,.. how come d flag ws kept even for more than 1min that it got into camera? we immidiately correct the mistake when its in notice. why didnt nirmala devi herself stopped and asked that person to keep the flag somwhere else. the flag still on ground in the second image. what she was waiting for? am sorry i dont trust rajendra at all. this lady must be punished.

Believe it or not – on the mental level you allege her an insult, but she just gave her blessings as a mother of india´s freedom. Shri Mataji´s parents played a key role in India’s Liberation Movement from under British rule. Her father, a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi, was a member of the Constituent Assembly of India and helped write free India’s first constitution. He was a renowned scholar, master of 14 languages, and translated the Koran in Marathi. Her mother was the first woman in India to receive an Honors Degree in Mathematics.
As a child, Shri Mataji lived with her parents in the ashram of Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi saw the wisdom of this child and used to appreciate her immensely, affectionately calling her Nepali due to the Nepali features of her face. Even at a young age, her deep understanding was evident to Gandhi, who frequently sought her advice on spiritual matters.
Shri Mataji’s involvement in the freedom struggle is extremely remarkable. She was very courageous and played a daring role as a youth leader of this campaign. In the 1942 “Quit India Movement” announced by Gandhi, she was even arrested and put in jail along with other freedom fighters for actively participating in this movement.
After the establishment of the outward freedom, Shri Mataji started to teach about the liberty within. She was born with a complete understanding of the human nervous system and its energetic counterparts, which allows her to overcome the daily life problems. Down to the present day she helps people around the world to get their inner balance and selfrealisation.
You don´t have to believe anything, but judging without knowing every aspect is like to see only one side of the coin. Be aware that if you call her a false Guru, you do a defamation of character.

Disrespect – WHO THE HELL IS SHE????
Hello Everyone,
pictures shows the gross disrespect and insult to the Indian National flag by this so called ‘spiritual leader’ and self
proclaimed ‘GOD’ Mataji Nirmala Devi. This disrespect to our country’s flag
shows that she has definitely no respect or love for the country that gave
her so much and her husband who was an IAS officer and chief of the SCI
(he is seated next to her in the pics).. Such a shame..
I do urge and plead with all Indians who deeply love their country to
forward the photos to as many people as possible so that it does catch the
eye of someone higher up in the Indian Govt who can really take some action
against this cult.

They invite politicians and people in power and offer certain vinrated water which results in these peple becoming slaves to whims and fancies of Nirmala, who excercises her tantric powers thru them.

The message displayed in the article sr.no. 199 under the name of Dr. Hule is not at all concerned with me. I have not given this message. Somebody must have played mischief by using my name.
Now i would like to express my feelings as follows
H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi is herself a Freedom fighter at the same time her parents had given up all the belongings for the nations freedom movement. She participated in this movement by actively confronting with the armed British soildiers with a national flag in her hand.
With her teachings of Sahaja Yoga to the mankind the whole world is getting transformed and due to this nearly 180 countries of different caste, creed, relision of her followers, they started paying tributes to our holy nation with holding our national flag, they all sings Vande Mataram, so we all Indians introspect ourselves and understand the issue properly.
Yours,
Dr.Anand Hule

Dear all,
I am a sahajyogi. and a true patriot. Seeing the flag at the feet of the lady i worship was shockiiinnnnggggg for me too. But dear friends and Indians it was good to see so many quotes about the situation from us. It fills my heart with pride and a sense of hope that we are not billion fools who are blndly following what we see, hear and feel. We have that voice which can send shivers down the spines of any person who tries to play foul with us.
But i think rather than making this scene a fiasco and a point to blame someone. Lets hold on for a minute. Wait. Please.
Have you ever thought are we really in a stste to blame someone for the act that we profoundly think is wrong?
How many time we have stood without moving an inch while the national anthem was going on. I bet less than 1%. Right. That is disrespect to the anthem.
Do you know flag hosting cannot be done under roof. i bet everybody must have attended hosting in such manners. have u raised voice? that is an offence.
In the theatres natonal anthem are sung and people dont even bother to stand straight for 1 minute in whole. Have u ever tried to stop them or told them that “Boss u are doing an offence.”
I guess no.
There r several more instances where we can have infinite arguments. But that is not what im here to tell.
Let this matter go. Reach ahead, we are moving towards a new world, where we can make our country the first world country, not the third world country. We dont want logical answers and consolations from people who dont even live in this country.
Dont give in so easily. In many countries people use the flag designs or colours to make what not. but they are ahead from us,,,,fifty years ahead as we say in our lingo. they lead a life we dream off, and want so badly.
I am a firm believer hard work and our cultural inheritance can make my country (India)the country people will crave to come to.
I am taking this initaitve…..join me…or sit on ur ass and keep blaming somebody for what they did to ur country and to ur flag……and what not…….its ur choice.
and life is about choices, raising voice about somehting wrong is good, brave. But clinching to it and always try to bask in the shine of that incident is wrong.
Thank you,

This is a two year old post. According to wikipedia “Rajendra Kumar, a trustee of Sahaja Yoga Trust issued an apology on behalf of Nirmala Devi.”

I am surprised how could Indian Government do nothing about it.Isn’t it a concern for them or are they afraid to take action on any “Holy” frauds.

Dear Fellow Indians….
Greetings post 63rd Independence Day !!!
Our Feelings being an Indian are most respected. However, this must not call for irrational, easy and ignorant conclusions.
Most of the commenters here are jumping into conclusions without giving a serious thought with reference to illustrations manifested from pro-and-con comments posted till date.
We must make sure that our understanding and hence expression will not depict our ignorance about wholesome reality as well we must not reach to the extent of defaming our Motherland as enlightened / wise citizens.
Any argument without a balanced thinking will be of no utility for anybody and only a wastage of our intellect.
Instead, on this occasion, we must resort to understanding the gains that we have benefited out of our “Independence”. No doubt we have grown in Material aspect, but there prevails a crippled Social, Economic and Moral fabric that continues to pain the common man. Remembering Great Incarnations like Lord Krishna and Saint Gyaneshwar for their message of enlightening the spirits of human being for better society and overall benevolence will definitely bring welfare to this Great Nation on this auspicious day.
This also calls for preparing our minds to believe that our(human beings’) evolution that started from a single cell Amoeba hasn’t reached supreme level even today as we all are still struggling to reach a happy state. A process of attaining Self-realization and progressing on this path to lead enlightened lives is what has been envisioned by these Great incarnations.
As in the present times, human being is experiencing heights of Material achievements aided with technological advancements, THIS is a time as well for human beings to attain spiritual and hence overall welfare as envisioned by Scriptures and the Incarnations.
Come, let us ‘try’ to understand the essence of Our FREEdom from following quote by HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi :
“The Political Freedom(Swaatantrya) cannot be understood and utilised fully unless and until you are able to KNOW the ‘Swa’tantra.”.
(‘Swa’actually means Atma/Spirit)
All the Great souls can get the “Self-Realization” with blessings from HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi.
These are the Great Times for Human Ascent as “Every”body with Pure Desire can attain the union with Supreme Divine Power through Self-Realization (as it happened in case of 5 disciples of Mahatma Buddha and few more instances..)
All are come on this pious occasion to attain the ultimate self knowledge by attaining Self-Realization through Sahajayoga (www.sahajayoga.org.in) and make the lives meaningful by attaining the spiritual ascent by going beyond “mind” and “intellect” (both of which have positive, negative and limited repercussions for our lives.).

Mr More, STOP
enough, stop trying to recruit on this forum. People lives are meaningful in their own right and do not need your methods of self realization. Stop preaching and trying shove your own chosen religion down people throats. Independence of our country is a sacred day for each individual and does not warrant comments like the one above.

First, all you people talking about blind faith. Stop. You go to your temples, mosques, Gurudwaras in blind faith, has one of you ever seen a god. If you have, let us know where, will ya? faith is blind, so let the people who believe in whatever guru or god they believe in, to do that, as they let you believe in whatever god that you hold dear to yourself. If youre an atheist, then understand that the majority of this world allows you to live in peace with your beliefs, not calling your choice of not believing in a higher power wrong. So, for the people believe in this lady, it is in their right to do so and we as citizens of a secular country should not and will not judge. By the way, i know people who follow this religion, some of them belonging to intellectual elite of this country. So when some of you say that this is a lack of education etc. you are wrong.
Second, lets talk about patriotism. I am patriotic, but i choose to whistle my national anthem when sitting alone. I stand in public forums when the anthem is sung, but sit at times when i hear it on TV or the radio. I am still patriotic, i still believe my country is the greatest country there is and i respect it whole heartedly. No body can judge my patriotism, as im not judging theirs. my love for my country is a personal emotion that is not subject to anyones judgements. So the people judging the patriotism in the people who condone this photograph, who the hell are you? you wanna be patriotic, do so as long as it does not affect or dictate anybody else. Their freedom to choose allows them to do what they feel is patriotic.
It is idiotic to think that placing a flag on someone’s feet is disrespectful. The people who did it, believe that they are placing their own flag, one they have equal right to as any of you, on their guru’s feet. Their belief, as i understand it, is that by placing the flag of the country they love most on the feet of whom the revere, is asking for blessings and guidance. the same sort of blessing and guidance you ask for when you visit your many temples, mosques, churches etc. Their belief is their own and it should be left to them. that flag is their property as much as it is yours and they have a right as citizens of this country to do what they please with something which is inherently theirs as much as it is yours.
You dont like it, dont place a flag on someones feet. but you have no right to negate the beliefs on any man, woman or child of this country. if you do chose to insult those beliefs, given the fact the we pride ourselves on being the largest secular state in the world, you should be hanged or arrested as some of you mentioned. Furthermore, those calling the IAS officer shameful, what have you achieved in service of this country? if he chooses to condone the actions that he obviously thinks are ok, who are you to try to say that he is wrong. Look up who is, his name is Sir CP Shrivastava. He had been the principle secretary to one of the greatest patriots of all time, Lal Bahadur Shastri, who himself held this mans patriotism and character is the highest regards. All those of you who sit behind a computer, including me, having achieved not even an iota of what this man has achieved for this country have absolutely no right to insult him or call his actions shameful.
Why dont we complain when people like Anna Hazare say, that people who drink should flogged publicly? why isnt their such an outcry as there is one here? he asking for the denial of our most basic of freedom, the freedom to choose, and yet, we say nothing. What has she done which is so wrong (this ‘GODWOMAN’), brought peace and serenity to her disciples? given them an outlet or different understanding to the path towards a higher truth? what has she done wrong by being the woman she is?
The flag, the anthem, the symbols of our sovereignty our just symbols, small representations of our country. but the biggest representation of our country is ourselves. if we choose to act the way we are acting in this forum, we ourselves are disrespecting our nation. then the flag on someone’s feet is a small worry. There are far bigger issues affecting our country than this. lets focus on that instead of worrying about some woman somewhere who placed her feet on our flag. it is neither the justification of our time or of the people we ought to be.

To the Crook (duplicate) – “who is using Name of Dr Anand V Hule” :
Please note that our brother Dr Anand Hule passed away in July 2012. You are using his name only to get Exposed !!!
And Dear duplicate, you still deserve some more attention. HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi was the complete Incarnation of Adi Shakti and She is and will continue to be Omnipresent and Omnipotent Source of Divine Power that all realised souls (persons) in this world are (already) experiencing. This is a Divine reality and need to figure it out by experiencing it and not by merely using mental projections or readings. So, how She can be merely a “Thought” ? .
As you are a fake identity, you need not worry about fate of the Sahaja Organization which is built by Mahashakti Herself. Just as a testimony, go to facebook and find for Groups / members with search string “Sahaja”. Shri Mataji has bestowed all Her children with Wisdom, Discretion, Purity, Joy, Creativity, knowledge of what is right and what is wrong, Respect for Righteousness (Dharma), and More importantly A boundless Nirmal Love for Her Children and Humanity to uphold Vishwa Nirmala Dharma that is Sahajayoga… Enough for now.
I wish you all the best to grab the Divine treasure which is possible only if you are humble Seeker of truth.
Jai Shri Mataji !
